Beauty : Ericsson Laboratoire Eye Heaven

Posted By carolinestyling 315 days ago on Fashion

http://www.carolinefashionstyling.com - I've been meaning to write this review post for a while now. Actually since last September when I mentioned it in my What I took to Fashion Week post. This has really been one of my favourite beauty discoveries in 2016. As you know, I'm quite a fan of the Ericsson Laboratoire skin care range. I swear by their serums, love their moisturisers and scrubs and get excited about their facials. This is however, the first time I've encountered an eye product so effective at removing dark circles. If you think I don't have dark circles, I really love my under eye concealer but that's a separate post. Fact is, I'm a technology addict and workaholic who attempts to sleep far to little and also suffers from insomnia. I've also been told that carbs contribute and well, try as I might that will to

Outfit Post : Birthday Outfits

http://www.carolinefashionstyling.com - You may have realised that I kind of make a big deal when my birthday rolls around. This year, I had actually originally planned on letting it roll by without any fuss whatsoever, maybe just a quiet dinner with the hubby. A bit of context - two years ago, my little niece was born one day after me and at the time, I pouted in an extremely childish manner. I exclaimed in annoyance that she'd stolen my birthday. Considering today she's probably one of the most important people in my life, I'm more than happy to donate my birthday to her completely if needs be. So my intention was just to tailor around her and not really make any sort of fuss about mine. However, if you followed my social media or blog over that weekend, you can see how well that worked out.If you've read this post,

Hot Tubs, Hotel Stays & Birthdays

Posted By carolinestyling 329 days ago on Fashion

http://www.carolinefashionstyling.com - It's not every birthday that I get to spend in a hot tub - scratch that..I've never spent any of my January birthdays in any water of any sort before this year. Last weekend I celebrated my birthday and to eliminate any possibility of my feeling sad about getting older, I made sure to celebrate in the best possible way - a glorious, glorious weekend with the hubby at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Malta. I love hotels, it's a good thing I guess considering how much I travel lately. The downside is usually lack of space but space was definitely not an issue last weekend. My room was quite frankly huge - I had a corner room with a huge double bed, a massive bathroom with both a shower and a bathtub, a nice big sofa and tv area and a beautiful corner terrace with deck chairs and a hot t

Birthday Wish List Continues - House of Fraser

Posted By carolinestyling 337 days ago on Fashion

http://www.carolinefashionstyling.com - As most of my friends and family know, I get a bit over-excited when my birthday approaches and I start planning lots of different events. My husband calls the whole thing birthday festivities, in a slightly mocking tone. Unfortunately, the month of January puts a bit of a damper on things what with exams - I always had exams on or around my birthday until I finished university - illness and bad weather. I've always been quite envious of those born in Summer.Well we can change a lot of things about ourselves but our birth month is not one of them. This means I must force everyone around me to make that extra effort and brave the cold weather, get over illness quickly and take preventative measures by increasing Vitamin C intake in the days leading up to the festivities

Outfit Post : Parisian Bistro

Posted By carolinestyling 339 days ago on Fashion

http://www.carolinefashionstyling.com - I'm finally getting around to going through all the photos I shot throughout my December vacation in Paris. For me there's something iconic in the traditional Parisian bistro with their outdoor wicker chairs. Most things Paris make me smile though. I did the math and realised I visited Paris 4 times in 2016, I hope I'll be as lucky in 2017. It truly is one of my favourite places on earth.Outfit DetailsTop : Chiara Ferragni via RebelliCape : ACNE StudiosShoes : BATA MaltaJeans : Elisabetta Franchi via RebelliEarrings : ALDONails : The Beauty Team MostaBag : Charles and RonPhotos : Kurt Paris

Jewellery Gift Ideas for 2017

Posted By carolinestyling 343 days ago on Fashion

http://www.carolinefashionstyling.com - Just because Christmas is over, it doesn't mean there are no more reasons to buy gifts. I actually firmly believe that January is a great season for gift buying - it's my birthday month. My nearest and dearest have been asking me to compile a gift wish list so I hopped over to Diamonds International to hand pick my favourite items. Luxury jewellery items will always make lovely presents - there's no such thing as owning too much jewellery, they can also be great investments that truly stand the test of time. The name Royal Asscher is synonymous with fine diamonds, a company with over 160 years experience. This ring in rose gold is a stunning piece featuring a unique design that ensures high wearability whilst still retaining the elegance the brand is renowned for. This collectio

Bridesmaid for A Day

Posted By carolinestyling 344 days ago on Fashion

http://www.carolinefashionstyling.com - There's a saying that goes '3 times a bridesmaid never a bride' so lucky for me I was already a bride. Last month I had possibly one of my favourite 2016 experiences - I was one of my best friend's bridesmaids. I played absolutely no part in creating my look, it was all up to her but I loved every part of it. The absolutely wonderful fabric in this har-to-describe midnight blue shade was designed into a gorgeous, gorgeous dress. We were four bridesmaids and we all had different necklines designed to suit our different body shapes. I really loved my makeup which was done by Krista Paris who is my sister-in-law so even more fun. And then there were the gifts - personalised dressing gowns and hangers with our names on them and handmade necklaces by Marpesia & Co each

Beauty Faves of 2016

Posted By carolinestyling 348 days ago on Fashion

http://www.carolinefashionstyling.com - 2016 was really the year of some great beauty finds. A few items that I was previously unaware of have become absolute staples in my beauty lineup. I thought it would be just a couple of items but as I stopped and thought about it, the list seemed to go on and on and on. I didn't end up putting any makeup on this list - might have to make a separate list for that !So here's what made my top listThe DAFNI brushThis brush is a miracle as far as I'm concerned. The speed at which I can obtain decent - looking hair still continues to impress me. And forget day-after bad hair with this baby, it will fix it in a few seconds. It isn't cheap it's true but it really is pretty good. You can read my review and watch the video here. The Makeup Blending SpongeFirst we had sponges, then we had brush

Let's talk about PERCY

Posted By carolinestyling 357 days ago on Fashion

http://www.carolinefashionstyling.com - Men don't get too much attention on the blog unfortunately - they tend to get largely undermined in the face of the sheer amount of female products there are to talk about. However this year I was introduced to a product line called Percy Nobleman and the hubby was my guinea pig. It takes a bit of convincing to get said hubby to try new products - his skin is quite sensitive so he's always really wary. However, he agreed to try out their products for beards and stubble, largely due to my complaining about extra pricking effects. It's his review you get today - no beards on my face :) Bear grooming products have infiltrated the male grooming market this year largely due of course to the beard trend that doesn't seem to be growing old anytime soon. Percy Nobleman was started by an English ge
