Here's a little twist as to why I think bloggers are becoming zombies. Its time to bring out the good bloggers in all of us.

Much as I LOVE to judge others, I kind of hate judging contests. Usually because the only people who enter mine are my friends, and I love them, and I don't want to hurt their feelings. I'd much, MUCH rather enter and BE judged. Isn't that strange?

I have never judged and I know I wouldn't be a fair one. I did get an offer to be a judge of a blogging contest and I turned it down right away. I knew my friends would be a part of it and somehow my subjectivity would creep in and that wouldn't be fair to all.

I just think the whole concept of judging would be too stressful for me.... the counting of votes might be a little easier but then having to make the final call and drawing the line would be crazy tough.. I wonder how this guy does it every month!

No idea. I do know that subjectivity is allowed in contests and games of skill. That's what separates them from sweepstakes and lotteries. But the only way to be at all objective is if you can judge entries blind; they do that in many (most reputable) writing competitions. The judges get numbered copies, no names, and choose the "best" based on the work alone.

Like exams. Though the assignments and other weekly work got numbered with the students name on it; the final papers are always marked by numbers assigned. Makes it so much more easier to actually appreciate writing style.

We should have something of that sort for blogs as well. The work would be appreciated for its effort , authenticity and basically for writing skills rather than just shares. I am sure the writer in Holly is nodding! :)

LOL! Did I enlighten you'll...that's a heavy compliment to live up to ;) The whole point is whether they just get blown away (or not!) and do get the point of what Holly and I are trying to send across! Maybe I have to keep content with the second place...I would gladly be second to Holly...she is a such a beautiful writer that its hard not to love her absolutely... agree?

Even when we aren't new we need to look into what's happening when we are writing something about it. I mean how would we know whether what we are writing is right. Doing your research always makes sense. You aren't close to being a zombie... you write such interesting topics! Do you have any particular ways to inspire yourself to come up with new ideas?
