All the bullet points you covered are all true. I just hate those messy pop-ups. They drive me away like the devil is after my hide, LOL. And yes, I love blogs with simple and clean look, too. Great article! Good luck to both of us and the rest of the other contestants in the contest!

You know, pop ups were the most annoying thing for me till now. But now when you have mentioned auto-music... OMG! I am just running away. I hate it.

They can have a button, I can play myself if I want to.

Yeah, I mentioned in the post that If It is must to add an audio fine than let the users play it. I too hate popups, but on some big blogs It doesn't matter.

I too dislike the ones that have popups and auto music on. Its gives me headaches. I never go back to them.

I liked your article Ehsan. I agree with you, I don't like pop ups either, I don't think that anyone does. But I am will to accept them if what they offer is related to the site. To me, an optin subscription box is a little less intrusive than a pop up ad that I cannot close. Good luck in the contest Ehsan.

Popups aren't that bad, sure they can be annoying (everything can), but if controlled, popups can be very effective ;)

Hey Jeevan, you might be right, but I say that using landing page is better than popup. I don't really like it and If other visitors of a blog has same thinking as me than pop-up annoying that.
