Motivation. Let's face it, it's the biggest hurdle to overcome on the 400 meter track of hurdles when it comes to exercise compliance - no magic bullet and you can't game the system. Believe me, over the course of my 35 years of fitness training I've tried many things to get me in the mood.
If your gym is like most, it's zoned. Cardio here, resistance training there - never the twain shall meet. The ubiquitous "No Weights In Cardio Area" signage - they're so adamant you may even be asked to leave for any perceivable transgression. Ask me how I know. So picky - you'd think it was a Johnny Knoxville stunt I did.
