Blog Engage $500 USD Guest Blogging Qualifying Article
Regardless of what the megastar bloggers tell you about how easy it is to make money blogging, the straight dope is that it’s a grind. Most people think that you can throw up a website with a half decent design and then it’s just a matter of pounding the keys and getting your work out there. These type of bloggers really remind me of the episode of South Park where the boys go looking for the internet money. It’s just not how it works in practice.
First, you need to have a solid idea of who your audience is going to be. And I don’t mean just understanding that you’re going to talk business or science or dating – you really need to niche down to be successful. Are you going to be writing to older investors or bootstrapping entrepreneurs? Are you looking to facilitate conversation between MIT and CERN members, or is this going to be a blog to get kids excited about science again? Dating advice for women, or dating advice for men? These are (obviously) not an exhaustive list of topics you could design your blog around, but examples of just how important it is to nice down and make sure you write to the a specific group of people. Wide nets in blogging often catch far less readers.

Next you’re going to need to make sure you have your traffic situation handled – after all, what good is a blog if nobody reads it. There is a bit of “if you build it, they will come” attitude out there, but put any illusions of that right out of your mind. You’re going to need to have a plan to push traffic and hopefully be delivering the kind of quality content that makes readers help share you writing.
Then there is the whole area of monetization. Just as those boys in South Park learned, you should know there is no such thing as “the internet money”. You’re going to need to have a plan for making money off of all that traffic – whether it’s by serving ads, selling premium content or courses, or doing consultations. This is mission critical, and if you drop the ball here you could have the most widely read blog with absolute killer content and still go straight to the poor house.
Oh, and you’re not exactly building up your audience in a vacuum – there are literally hundreds of thousands of people all vying for the attention of your readers. Talk about a shark tank!
So how does a young and enterprising blogger get a head start in this cutthroat business world of blogging?
Simple – by joining up and competing in a BlogEngage Guest Blogging Contest.
Building Online Influence
Joining in with a BlogEngage guest blogging contest is one of the fastest ways to make sure that you’re building your blog’s influence on the right foot. BlogEngage guest bloggers are put through the ringer of both peers and readers, and if you’re able to shine here you’re going to build some instant online influence and will probably see your readership level take off. And remember, more readers = more page views = more money.
Developing authority
This goes hand in hand with the above, as you can’t influence anyone if you don’t come from a position of authority. You need to remember that before you establish yourself as a blogger and build up your readership, you could be the world’s foremost expert and people will still be wary of your information. Joining and participating in a BlogEngage guest blogging contest is going to give you the kind of exposure that will allow other people from all over the internet check out what you have to say, and let them start to build a relationship with you as an authority figure. BlogEngage readers know that their guest bloggers have been vetted, so you get a bit of instant authority rather than having them just stumble onto your blog in the wild.
Building a portfolio and credibility
Nobody in the world trusts and empty blog – and that’s just the stone cold truth. One of the biggest problems for new bloggers is that they don’t have enough content to show that they’re in it for the long haul and that they are a trusted and credible source for the information you’re looking for. This can be quickly remedied through a BlogEngage guest blogging contest, as you’ll still be able to write about the topics you want to base your site around while still getting a wide viewership and tons of feedback. This allows you to refine and adjust your posts, as well as grab key insights from the readership into what information you should write about next. This is a fantastic way to build a portfolio of work that will actually be read.
Free backlink and quality traffic
Blog Engage Contest is a unique guest blog contest in that they allow you to freely backlink as much (within reason) as you like in your guest post – provided you actually own or operate the site you’re linking to (no affiliate stuff). This is key in the fact that you’re going to be able to not only get your writing viewed and jump up the credibility and leadership ladders, but you can also drive some pretty heavy amounts of traffic to a money site and get paid at the same time. This is the epitome of having your cake and eating it too.
Increased exposure and brand awareness
Some of the very best blogs in the world are wallowing lost somewhere in cyberspace right now, and that’s a shame. There are millions and millions of experts all over the world just chomping at the chance to share their knowledge with people, but because they lack the ability to drive visitors to their work and get widespread exposure they’ll have to settle with dying in obscurity. Your mission is too important for that, and if you want to be a success in spreading your message and building a business it would be wise to tap into the power of the Blog Engage guest blogging contest. Blog Engage is going to serve you up with a built in and incredibly large and diverse audience right from the moment you press publish. Talk about a head start.
Chance to win the prize money
This should be an obvious one, so I won’t spend too much time on it. Not only will you get the chance to contend for some money to help you out while you write, you’ll also get the satisfaction of knowing you beat out a ton of really killer writers. You’ll not only be able to boost your bank balance a bit but also give your ego a healthy shot right in the arm.
Conclusion
For all the reasons above and oh so many more, you’d have to be crazy not to sign up and jump on the chance to put your work in a Blog Engage guest blog contest. I hope you see just how lucrative and beneficial this could be to your success in getting your message out there, and that you use this gigantic piece of leverage to catapult yourself right into the top tier of bloggers. Keep on working and keep on writing, and with the help of powerful tools like the Blog Engage guest blogging contest, who knows – your voice could the thing that changes our world forever. Good luck to you!

This is a very good post, and I wish you luck (even if we ARE competitors) in the contest. One point that maybe you could have mentioned here is that participation in the Blog Engage Guest Posting Contest requires bloggers to slow down and write their best content, then speed up and step up their promotional efforts.
Speaking of which… only 13 comments? Are you promoting this effectively?

Hello Sathish, everything we do online takes so much time. Developing content, driving traffic, building our authority all takes a lot of work and a lot of time. What amazes me is how fast this can change. We can work years to get where we are and lose it all over night by one bad mistake or bad decision. Not only do we have to work hard at getting this success we have to work even harder to keep it.
