Ok, I’m not a “techie” as you can see from some of my blog posts (You are reading them, aren’t you?).   I am, though, always looking for new friends on BlogEngage, so add me as your friend and send me a message to add you.

I want to explain my journey with WordPress and Blogging.  If it weren’t for all the technical people who write blogs on the internet, I wouldn’t have been able to be a blogger.  Two years ago, I had no idea what a blog was.  In fact, I looked up the meaning of the word on the net.  Perhaps that sounds a little funny, but I had been working as a Registered Nurse for over fifteen years and didn’t spend a whole lot of time on the net except for email and playing games.  I didn’t even use Facebook until recently.  As a young woman and mother of young children, one of my jobs was as an Office Manager/Secretary for several commercial companies.  Therefore, I did know about some types of software, but after 15 years in the healthcare industry, I was still lost when it came to blogging and WordPress.

I have found some of the most wonderful people, who have been willing to take the time to help me become a blogger and set up my site correctly.  There are some particular people, who actually went to my site and fixed some things for me, then explained what was wrong so I could fix it next time.  One of those people is John Saddington from Tentblogger.com.  For the first several months, I considered John’s site my “Bible”.  If he talked about Google Analytics, I would study what this was, and if it could help me.  Then, back to John’s site to figure out how to set it up right.  Feedburner was another thing that John helped me with, because I didn’t have a clue what it was, let alone how to utilize it. John even helped fix a few of my mistakes by going directly to my site.  I offered to pay him for this, but he wouldn’t accept anything except to promote his site for him, which I do whenever I have a chance.

The next great technical blogger, that I received help from is Justin Germino from Dragonblogger.com.  Justin also helped me with various issues, answered my questions and even fixed a thing or two for me.   He also checked my site out and helped me fix some things that were wrong or needed attention.  He was the one who invited me to blogengage.  Yeah!

There are many other people who write blogs on technical aspects of blogging and wordpress. I have visited a lot of sites and learned so much from these people.  I have become not only admires of these persons, but have become online friends as well.   I could not have succeeded if the above persons, blogs and groups weren’t willing to help writers such as I succeed.

THANKS TO ALL OF THE COMPUTER GEEKS, NERDS, TECHIES, PROFESSIONAL TECHNICAL BLOGGERS, CONSULTANTS, SEO SPECIALISTS, AND EVERYONE WHO KNOWS THIS STUFF!

Hi Sally, I was the same way when I started out and just like you Justin from DragonBlogger came to my rescue many times and offered a helping hand. I haven’t spent much time on John’s blog but I will certainly pay him a visit. One more thing – I really love how you are such a genuine person. Don’t change – even though you might get more technical skills, stay sweet! We love you here at Blog Engage just the way you are. Bravo!

      Ileane,

You are so sweet to say so. I’m so happy to be here a BE. I was not sure if it was the place for me, but I did some research and talked to some colleagues, who spoke so highly of BE.

I am who I am, and changing at this late stage in my existence is probably not possible. Thanks for the comment. Sally

Hello everyone I am not a blogger, but since my friend is I would like to support her.

I am currently working as a Wellness Consultant and I have partner with a company that markets healthy beverages. If you are curious about the health aspect go to my website to get more info. We have coffee (black coffee, mocha, latte, latte with ginseng, green tea, and hot chocolate) these are just a few of our products. I am also a student; I attend school online and I am so ready to be finish.

My situation was similar to Sally’s: I have work as nurse for many years, I mainly got on the internet to check email and play solitary, and did not ever use my space, and until recently I started using face book.

Anyone I thought I would introduce myself. See you later bloggers.
