Brian, I have tried Guest Blogging, and i have had few successful campaigns also (by campaigns i mean that i had sent request to over 40 blogs and out of which one has been published and I am writing the next two)
Tell me one thing, is there a sure shot way of getting your request approved (so that i can do guest blog) right now i when i approach the blog owners, i send them a small writeup, example of my writing and a little bit of the things which i would like to write for their sites. But when i approach them, i hardly receive a reply.. is there something i am missing??

John, I just want to chime in here and tell you that one reason you may not be getting a respond is that so many blogggers simply are short on time and dont have enough time to get to all their emails.
Of course, thats not an excuse for them to not respond to any guest blogger. I mean, if you are offering guest posting on your blog, than you should at least respect other people who put time and effort in trying to guest post on your blog, by simply responding to them even if its just to say, hey I cant publish your post.
I also do the same, I contact many bloggers and usually I get 10% respond. S, you just have to keep trying. Good luck.

I know one of the things I struggle with often is knowing where to spend my time. I know that I can easily turn into an internet junkie (it’s happened to me before), and I’m trying hard not to let that happen, yet at the same time, I often feel like I should be doing something more. Just not always sure what that something more is. Finding good mentors can really help. Sometimes, I feel I’m just on the cusp of a break through if I can just figure out that one or two things that will take me to the next level.
