Blog Engage will launching a new contest every 30 days until the end of 2011. On the fifteenth of each month we will announce the previous months winners and award all the cash prizes.

Login to our WordPress back end, write your guest article and submit it for pending review. At this time you can also e-mail me your article about our contest including our sponsors links. Once your guest article is published on Blog Engage you can start doing sponsor reviews on your own blog.

As you may have noticed we have started placing much more emphasis on our sponsor reviews. This is because for the first time the Blog Engage RSS Customers are Contest Sponsors.
In order to remain competitive in the contest you must write some sponsor reviews to gain sufficient points. Don’t worry these aren’t your typical sponsors like other contests, these are real bloggers like you and I. these blogger are excited to meet you and engage with your reviews! this is your chance to meet new bloggers, win money and earn blogging authority!

Please read the following to understand how our sponsor reviews earn you points towards winning our guest blogging contests. This is by far the most important aspect of our guest blogging contests so please get engaged with our sponsors.
Business Sponsors hold top sponsorship in our guest blogging contests. You, our guest blogging contestants are given 150 points for each individual sponsor review you do about our sponsors. These points are used towards winning our guest blogging contests.
Platinum Sponsors receive second top sponsorship in our guest blogging contests. You, our guest blogging contestants are given 100 points for each individual sponsor review you do about our sponsors. These points are used towards winning our guest blogging contests.

Post Guidelines and Specifics
1. Guest posts must be at least 450 words, not to exceed 1300 words.
2. You may have as many links as you wish in the body of the article. However, please limit links to your projects or websites to your bio. Absolutely no affiliate links allowed.
3. Your bio must have a Gravatar. Please use a picture of yourself and not a logo.
4. You must write an article talking about the contest here at blog engage and link to our sponsors using the provided code below!
5. You can write about any topic you think blog engage members would be interested in reading. This includes all niches equal but not limited to our categories here on blog engage.
6. Spread the word about your post through all your social media channels: Twitter, Blog Engage, Facebook, , etc. A high value will be placed on number of Tweets and overall social media promotion. The points system is mentioned above. E-mail all your sponsor reviews to admin (@) blog engage dot com immediately after publishing them on your blog.

All awards and prizes will be delivered 15 days after the contest is closed. As already stated a valid PayPal account will be needed to accept any money prizes.

I’m excited about this.
I hope I understood the mechanics properly.
So the first requirement is to post about BlogEngage and the contest on our blog.
After that, write a guest post on BlogEngage. Am I following it right?
Then, for additional points (but not required?), write reviews about the sponsors.
Finally, spread the word and gather kudos points for some bonus~
Did I sum it up correctly?
And oh, the banners. I hope it has a 250 width one as the 300px is too wide for my sidebar. :/

Gian I believe you mainly got the gist of it but just to answer two of your concerns. Based on how I understood the post, sponsor reviews may not be mandatory but they certainly get you a truckload of points, I’m not sure if someone could win without them…that would be an interesting challenge *laughs*.
I won’t be dipping into the competition, but I’m quite delighted to be sponsoring it and am really interested to read the reviews. I remember when Justin did one of Template Faerie, she uses the Blogger platform like me and she shared some awesome tips that have really helped me out. I’m an avid fan of her blog to this day. Daniel, I staid away from communities like this for fear of promotion-focused efforts rather than truly connecting with others. I joined Blog Engage after debating over a month of whether to go for it or not. I have interacted with 3 or 4 of the members of this site and they really made an impression on me. Everyone however has their own tastes, likes, and dislikes.
There are blogs up there that wouldn’t suit a person like me, so I wouldn’t visit them. I do however like photography, so I would for example visit the photography blog. I’m also into video gaming, so I’ll roll on over to one of the technology or entertainment blogs. You kind of see what I mean? Ah well, *shrugs* everyone is free to critique things as they see fit. Funny enough, I remember reading guest articles from last month’s contests that were earning just as many engage votes as the articles that were written for sponsor sites.
So at the end of the day, its your literary skills, not the sponsors that are going to shine
. Just my 2 cents.

What I’m trying to do Deniel is find a median where the bloggers who own blogs can market on a social level the provides value to both their selves and the community. When you write reviews about our sponsors your building the initial stages to a strong online relationship.
This is going to help you build traffic and create a strong online brand for yourself. It’s also going to earn you respect if you write a quality review! At the end of the day it always comes down to the blog article! You can max out on points and then the results will be based of the quality of the bloggers guest article.

Well… well… well…. Whether or not this is a promotional contest or a content contest, it doesn’t matter because what does matter is whether or not you have a positive mind towards contest like this one. I mean if you think is a promotional contest… well… it will always be a promotional contest and if you think is a content contest, it will always be a content contest, but for me… I think both in a positive way..
A promotional contest, hell it is promotional but what’s the benefit? Well, the answer is simple, traffic…
And a content contest… what’s the benefit? Well, the answer is reputation. So, if you have a chance to get more traffic and reputation… why not?
And whoever writes a review about my blog, he or she is going to get something special from me which will benefit them for long run and this is call “Exchange Sharing”
So, whoever read this comment, if you think it makes sense, join the contest !

Hi Brian, you have a good job for adding a video in this post. This June contest is pretty controversial and getting more exciting as a lot of bloggers do have inquiries about it. Some of them have asked me about your contest and a detailed explanation on how to join. So, while I shared to them the steps I’ve undergone in joining, I always recommend to them to talk to you either by email or by BE chat.
And yeah, I was surprised that you made a video. This is really cool and helpful. I hope they will now get the easy steps you’ve mentioned. Oh anyway, I’m just here too, willing to guide them.
