Hi everyone and welcome to our fifth guest blogging contest of 2012. So far in 2012 we have given away $2250 USD to our guest bloggers and as you know the contests are getting more frequent and the chances to win cold hard cash continue to increase. Right now Blog Engage is hosting a Guest Blogging Contest giving away $500 USD every 45 days.

The contest runs from August 1st, 2012 to September 15th 2012. Articles will only be accepted until August 31st 2012 and no later. Contestants will then be given to September 15th, 2012 to market and promote their articles. The winners will be announced on September 15th, 2012.

Special Note:

Blog Engage will be giving away $1000 USD at the end of 2012. This years winner for 2011 was Kira. If you want a chance to win this $1000 USD all you have to do is enter one of our guest blogging contests. Come the end of the year I will take the best guest articles everyone has written and create one big final contest to award someone with $1000 USD cash.

The Rules

First let’s discuss some of the rules. It’s very important you read and follow these rules as it will determine if your going to be included into the contest or not. In order to enter you have to write an article about the contest including our sponsor links on your blog. You can find the sponsor link code below. Please if you are entering our Guest Blogging Contest make sure to write about our contest and link to our sponsors prior to posting your guest article here on our blog.

Who can participate?

All Blog Engage members can write for us and have the opportunity to win any prize offered in this contest. Also if you are looking for a way to Engage in our community without paying for our $19.99 USD Standard Accounts then this is your chance. When you join our contest, we give you a free Blog Engage 19.99 USD Standard Account.

Post Guidelines

• Guest posts must be at least 900 words, not to exceed 2000 words.

• You may have as many links as you wish in the body of the content. However, please limit links to your projects or websites to your bio. Absolutely no affiliate links allowed.

• Your bio must have a Gravatar. Please use a picture of yourself and not a logo.

• Keep your post relevant to the overall theme of this blog. You can write about any of the following topics Making Money Online, Blogging Tips, Traffic, Design, Social Networking, SEO, Marketing, Technology and other industry or niche specific topics you think blog engage members would be interested in reading.

• All images must be picked and sent to me from Free Digital Images Please e-mail me the link directly to the image and the code needed to link back to the photographer.

How To Win

• You must be a member of the blog engage community

• You must write about the contest including the contest sponsors links When done e-mail me the link

• Register for an account here and fill out your bio info Also please get a gravatar if you don’t have one.

• Contact me admin (@) blogengage dot com letting me know your username

• We will review your account and upgrade it so you can write for the blog

• Write your post, save it and it will be reviewed and published

• A high value is placed on the number of and quality of comments received on your guest post. Also, be sure to interact with and respond to your commentators. This will help you win! Ambiguous and/or spammy comments will not help you.

• Spread the word about your post through all your social media channels: Twitter, Facebook, Sphinn, etc. A high value will be placed on number of Tweets and overall social media promotion.

The Points System

I will give max points for quality comments that are engaging not simple one liner comments. If you purchase tweets, votes or buy anything to influence wining this contest you will be disqualified. The final decision is not made from total points but the quality of the blog article. All decisions are made by me and once announced will be final. You can offer innovative ideas to encourage voting and engaging but it has to be indirectly and not with cash money. Example: You cannot purchase Facebook likes, Tweets, or any other votes.

It’s also important to understand what is allowed and what’s not allowed. You are 100% allowed to ask for tweets, shares, likes or whatever else you need to do in order to win. You can private message users on any social platform etc but do this at your own risk as many members my get offended and upset.
