With less than 15 days to market and promote I find myself with a difficult decision to make. I have to take all the great guest articles submitted into our Best Guest Blogger of 2011 Contest and select one blogger to win the grand prize of 1000 USD.

These bloggers all have 15 days to prove they have what it takes to be the Best Guest Blogger of 2011 here at Blog Engage. Each contestant has written an article and has marketed and promoted it at all their social networks trying to build up as much social engagement as possible.

To win the contest you have to earn the most points. The cool thing is we placed limits on each platform expect Blog Engage so using our community to gain points over the next 15 days will be vital to the winners strategy. The Best of the Guest Blogger Contest 1 Winners

First I want to send a shout out to all the sponsors who helped make the best of the guest blogger competition possible. Thank you for all your support and contributions towards our contest. Overall the contest judging went fairly well. I don’t know if it’s something I want to continue doing on my own and perhaps for the next contest I will look for some guest judges.

The winners were all selected by me and based on many factors that eventually lead to my final decision. The factors included some of the following, Quality of the articles, Social Networking, Comments and Discussions. Together these factors have been combined as mentioned to determine the placement for all guest bloggers.

I would also like to extend my appreciation to all the bloggers who took the time to market and promote their articles. Thank you for entering into the contest. Be sure to visit the best of the best of the guest blogger 2 contest. We are hoping to hit 1500 USD in contest sponsors. Keep visiting the blog for more updated information.

The top three winners will be awarded the top prizes (Cash), first place is 500 USD, second place is 300 USD and third place is 200 USD. From here the runners up can simply e-mail me and I will send a list of available runner up prizes. Obviously the runner up who finished in a better place gets to pick what they want first and whatever is left will be the remaining options.

Best of the guest blogger contest continues

I’m really excited to see all these familiar faces blogging here on our community blog.

I noticed many of our guest bloggers are trying extremely hard to promote their articles and reply to all the great comments their getting. This is great seeing the comments on your articles will have a lot to do with your chances of winning.

I’ve had a lot of questions regarding how many top prizes we had but more importantly what the first top three guest bloggers will receive. I have a total of 1000 USD to give away to our top guest bloggers and only three will be awarded cash prizes.

With only 15 days left the best of the guest logger contest should start heating up. Don’t be running late and get your article in early. Allow yourself time to market and build your comments up.

What to keep in mind when writing for our community blog.

Quality of the articles

Your written content will be judged and have a lot to do with your chances of winning. Making sure your articles it top quality and good content should be very important to you.

Social Networking

A large percentage of judging will be based on your ability to social network and market your articles. This includes sphinn, blog engage, digg, twitter and whatever else you want to promote with.

Comments and Discussions

Having the ability to engage your readers is a must. The total amount of comments you have on your article will have a large impact on the judging. We want to see what your readers are saying and would like to see you creating conversations with them.

Number of articles submitted

Obviously submitting more then one article will help you win. I will take the highest scored article and use that as your official submission for the contest.

Tweet and retweet

It’s very important to market your articles. I don’t know how much I can stress this. Finding people to comment and engage your article could be the difference form winning of losing. Make sure to tweet and re tweet your article. This is big money here so don’t waste anytime.

How to get started

  • Contact me admin (@) blogengage dot com letting me know your username
  • I will review your account and upgrade it so you can write for the blog
  • Write your post, save it and it will be reviewed and published with 24 hours
  • Images have to be linked by url in your article or sent to me, I will manually add then to your post

Blog Engage 1000 USD Best of the Guest Blogger Contest

It’s official Blog Engage is now hosting a Best of the Guest Bloggers Contest on the community blog.

I am very happy to announce we have $1000 USD in cash sponsors and the list is still growing.

Who can participate?

All Blog Engage members can write for us and have the opportunity to win any prize offered in this contest. We only ask that you have a valid paypal account to accept your winnings and prizes.

To be fair I will be allowing the top multiple guest bloggers to take home a cash prize. We do however have some rules for our guest bloggers to follow in order to be considered for a prize.

Post Guidelines

  • Guest posts must be at least 450 words, not to exceed 1000 words.
  • You may have as many links as you wish in the body of the content. However, please limit links to your projects or websites to your bio. Absolutely no affiliate links allowed.
