Qualifying Article for Year End $1000 USD Contest

With 2013 looming around the corner it’s that time when we start looking back on a year that may have been massive for some and a blip for others, but either way we all have to love that we are doing something that we enjoy and the enjoyment is being a blogger, well it is for me.

Many bloggers will now be taking the opportunity to look back through the last 12 months and see what their accomplishments have been, the challenges that they have been given and the wonders that they have learnt in the time spent sitting behind a keyboard, banging away with their finger tips creating their latest blogging masterpiece of knowledge.

Some, like myself have posted up posts about the most visited/read articles on the blog over the last 12 months and this is a great way of bringing the year to an end on any blog, people do like to see what you’ve been up to on your blog of musings.

Yes, being a blogger can be demanding, all those hours spent composing articles that people will read around the world and working your normal day job as well, but let’s not forget that blogging is extremely fun, if it wasn’t then we wouldn’t keep doing it for years upon end and trying to think of something fresh and interesting to post.

Looking Back At Your Blogging Through 2012

As I mentioned earlier I did a blog post about the Top Posts on my blog in the last 12 months, but instead of just doing that I expanded it to an article about where my blog has taken me during 2012.

So as a lot of you know me here on Blog Engage, I’m going to give you a recap of my last 12 months and then pass it over to you guys and get a discussion going on how you’ve been doing in the blogging and real world.

Now as most of you know I was taken on by local cinema last year to be their film reviewer, this has really taken off in the last 12 months and I’ve also gone over to radio with my reviews, giving listeners not only locally but globally via live Internet streams of the show. This is all down to my blog, yep, by blogging about my passion I was noticed and given a chance in something that I love doing.

In turn my reviews also brought me in to the world of events and shows, covering several events and becoming good friends with Thomas Nicholas (Kevin from American Pie) has helped me move further in to the world of entertainment and now I’m a publicist for a company that myself and a friend have set up, which gives me an opportunity to get put in to the entertainment world even more and bring more interesting stuff to my blog.

So my blog has helped me with moving forward, with some rather amazing things, even to the point that when we had some terrible floods in a city near by where I live, I was able to get the call out for some help to Build A Bear Workshop and get some Teddy Bears donated for some of the children that had lost their furry friends in the flood.

This in turn led to Radio and Newspaper interviews, that helped boost my blog that little bit more and also helped children and some places being mentioned and put on the map, as it were.

So as you can see 2012 has been an amazing year, not only has it been loads of fun working on my blog, but I’ve got to meet some amazing people in the entertainment world, children that have adored their new furry friends and a new avenue of work with people that are just awesome.

Looking Back At Your Blogging Through 2012 – Now It’s Over To You

Now it’s your turn, take a look back at 2012 and let us know what your achievements have been, your crowning glory and how your blog has helped you with what you mat have achieved. Have you met your goals and if so have you surpassed them and most of all have you enjoyed your blog in 2012.

OK enough talk, now it’s over to you!
