Blog Engage $500 USD Guest Blogging Qualifying Article
I guess it’s time to take some matters a bit serious in blogging. I mean, “blogging” as your life and as your world. So, for a while, let’s put away all of the SEO and SERP issues in a side where we can’t see and hear it, and let’s concentrate with this simple article.
As bloggers, (I included myself into that because I have a blog) we have different reasons in blogging. Some are for money, some are for hobby and recreation, some are for passion, some are for popularity, etc. Whatever reasons we have for blogging, one thing is common. It is that blogging became a part of our life. And sometimes, it became our life and world at all.
Blogging became more and more popular these days. Everyone loves sharing, everyone likes to have somewhere to put their work into documentations, and blogging became a tool for them. I will not wander now if more and more blogs are being published every day and more blogging aspirants are getting into it from time to time. But then, I’d like to give some warnings to those who want to get blogging into their life. Here are the reasons why:

Blogging will become your heroin!
Oh yeah! Guys, this one is addictive. As soon as you get the very first “like” or “comment” for you your post, you’ll always be wanting for more of that. You can’t resist that addictive feeling of wanting more. Then, one day, you’ll realize that you already have the syndrome of wanting to blog even on the busiest day and time of your life.
I knew a lot of people out there who are so addictive in blogging. Those people who can’t live without their blog. I even encountered someone who owned not just ten, not just fifty but more than a hundred blogs. Can you imagine how addictive he is in blogging? Do you want to be like that?
If so, you will be blogging while you eat your breakfast, lunch, and dinner; you will be blogging while you’re trying to burn your fats; and if you’re like me, you will be blogging while programming – making your hands dirty by blogging on the one hand, and coding and debugging on the other hand.
I also have this weird idea. I don’t know if this is right or just a weird kind of thinking. Don’t you think that blogging should become a science by now. If so, it should be called, blogology. I mean, there are lots of things we need to learn in blogging. We need to understand lots of things. And it’s also a continuous process of learning. Hmm, let me know what you think, huh?
And If You Can’t Blog?
Oh! The hell! You’ll surely have the feeling of deep loneliness. You’ll keep on asking yourself “why”. Yes, why you can’t blog? Why can’t you think of new ideas to blog? Or if you have the idea, you’ll ask yourself “how”. How can you make your post more creative? How can you make it more unique that no one will say that it was plagiarized? You will always blame yourself for those kinds of failures. Just like me, I really wanted to blog for at least twice a week. Honestly, I can’t always make that happen.
I have a lot of work to do that I can’t give time to my beloved blog, NooBite.com. But, I’m a bit fortunate that some folks offered to write a guest post on my blog. They keep my blog kicking on the past few days. But the, I am still sad. I feel like there’s something lacking in me. Oh, I really hate this feeling. I know you knew that kind of feeling too, the feeling of being incomplete.
So, what to do?
Well, if you got my point in this article, I know you will start a blog. You will definitely try it. Why not? There’s nothing to lose? Right? In fact, it will help in whatever it could. It could help to reach your dreams, even it is as far as the stars and as colorful as the rainbow. Blogging could help you to become popular. Oh, WOW! Here’s another celebrity in the making. Another thing is that blogging can be you stepping stone to become aware of whatever you want. Then, you’ll also become a better you. Oops! It if you will do it on the right way. Why? Because,
A Blog Can Make Or Break You.
There are lots of success stories out there in blogging. But there are also lots of failures. Just keep this in mind, when you blog, it’s like shouting as loud as anyone in the world wide web can hear you. Imagine that? Just try to imagine that. So, if you try to blog something good, expect good reactions or vice versa. But that’s not always what happens. Because, all people, specially the netizens, are all unique and different specially on beliefs. You may encounter some who will try to argue with you. So, it’s a bit important that you knew how to handle the different kinds of followers or readers your blog may have.
If I’m going to try to make an article about what’s on my mind right now about blogging, I don’t know when will I finish. So, that’s all for now folks! I will leave the rest on your understanding and I hope that you enjoyed reading my entry. I really tried to make it as humorous as I can. But there’s something in me saying that I don’t have that sense.
Good luck everyone! And, happy blogging! Happy living!

I noticed, the other day, that Full Sail University is offering courses in blogging – so I guess you’re a bit late in coming to that realization, Kris! I think they should hire us as instructors – no, fully tenured professors! It is highly addictive. Not sure if you meant “heroin” or “heroine” – they sound alike, and in this context, I suppose either would work! That explains a lot to the ladies out there…
Good luck, Kris – another fun entry into the Guest Blogging Contest! I can see the end of the year run for the grand prize won’t be easy.

LOL to the heroine and the ladies who are surely hiding their little smiles right now.
And speaking of courses in blogging, blogging is being encouraged among the young ones, too. Although, of course, extra care is to be taken because these are minors we’re talking about. Blogging has its advantages, indeed.
And Kris, good luck on the contest. My entry got published the day before yours came out. But being new to Blog Engage, it’s only today that I got it submitted into the main site.

Oh, I’m a bit late for that blogging course news. You should be one of the instructors. Maybe, I should take some subjects of that course to be considered as one of the applicants for being a BLOGGING instructors. I’m a total noob. Still have a lots of things to learn.

I don’t know everything what blogging could bring to a person. But, of course, for there’s something in it that’s too hard to leave. I want to know more specially about on what more it could bring. Thanks Franc!

I also agree with your comparison between shouting wherein the whole world could hear and blogging. This is one of the reason why we should blog responsibly as your blog is a reflection of who you are and if they get to see an interesting person, the readers would come back for more.

Sometimes, I just shout in blogging. Just to express how I really feel in a thing. It really helps me a lot to reduce the heavy feelings. Maybe, blogging can be a good habit to prevent heart attack. Right? Yeah, it could be. LOL!

Yes, blogging can help you unload stuff off your chest. Then again, like Franc just said, even when it’s being used as some kind of an outlet to release pent-up emotions, blogging should still be given the respect it deserves because in the end, our blog reflects who we are.

That’s one of the reasons why I deleted that blog. I keep on just shouting. But then, that’s me. That blog really reflects who am I. But since it conflicts on the majority, I decided to delete it, also to avoid being bullied.

I can go with blogging is addictive. But having 100 blogs? I’d be stuck in front of a computer day and night. Forget that! I do need to see daylight every now and again.
But is there really a need for how-to blogging? I noticed Holly’s comment that there are classes for blogging now? I think that you really can’t teach someone on how to blog. Sure you can show them – this WordPress, this is SEO. But how to write? How to try and draw people to your content? I think that comes from the individual.
Great post – and got me thinking! Good luck with the contest!

Actually, I can’t believe of the hundred blogs too. But it’s true. Before, I was amazed of one who have 20 blogs. That’s much for me. I only have two blogs but I really don’t have time to update them both.
Well, there’s a technical and logical part in blogging. We must learn them both.

I understand when you say blogging was your heroin because I am one of the person who really became addicted to blogging. I never thought my passion for writing would take me so away from reality and into the world of internet. There was a time in my life when all I could think was about trying to make my blog better. But slowly I realized what I was doing and worked hard to curb my habit.

There should be a limit for everything that you do. Anything done in excess is harmful. It is a great thing that you are dedicated towards your blog but always working on it is a sign of you being addicted to it. It is very harmful and if that ever happens then you need help. You need to get a grip of reality and restraint yourself from using it in excess.

I can understand the addiction to blogging. I started blogging as a way express my thoughts and views to my readers. But somewhere down the line I became addicted to it. There wasn’t a single day that I didn’t visit my blogs. There was always something to do on the blogging site. But later on I understood my addiction and tried to gain control over it.

You said blogging is addictive but i would add that many of our online activities are addictive. Like i used to check my gmail account every single minute 96 times a day. Facebook, twitter can get addictive and yes blogging make it better getting more traffic one extra like comment etc makes it addictive. The rewards are often quick and we keep looking for more. I post a comment and i look for a reply. Etc etc. Its a web of many things.
