I will also help promote your contest like I have done with both the Bad A$$ Contest and We Blog Better Contest. We will write about your contest here on the community blog and share it with our members.

All you need to do is hold a little contest on your blog and give away the prizes. Here’s some ideas to get you started…

Best Guest Blogger Contest

This is one idea in which you can do. You ask people to guest post on your blog and the winner is the blogger with the most comments, tweets and social engagement . You add a points system that helps you decide the winner.

Do a giveaway

Join Punch Tab and create a monthly giveaway n your blog. This is a great way to generate buzz about your blog and deciding the winners is very easy. The person who gets the most entries has the best chance in winning.

Blogging Challenges

This is one we are going to start doing every Friday here at Blog Engage. We have already done last Fridays’ and soon we will be offing prizes. You simply add a challenge to your blog and ask your readers to participate. You take the best article they give you and award them the winner. Unlike the Best Guest Blogger contest this is content they write their own blogs.

Points System

Join Punchtab and create a points system that awards the first users with a certain amount of points our prizes. This is always a great way to engage your readers and build relationships with them. It’s been working amazing here at Blog Engage. If you give it a try I will sponsor the prizes like mentioned above.

Top Commenter

This is always an easy way to give back to the people commenting on your blog. Simply keep track and the person with the most comments can get the free membership and Gold RSS Services.

    I am so excited! This will be great for me. I so want to throw a contest and didn’t know how to do so. I am so interested. Next Thursday (if God is willing), I should have my new website, twitter page, and fan page up and running (revamping and rebranding).

    Crossing my fingers! I am a photographer and I live in Harlem. Everyone always as for a Photoshoot… I am willing to give these sessions for free and other goodies!!

    This is not a bad idea, Brian. I have been thinking of hosting a contest on my blog and now that BlogEngage will help to promote it, this now make me want to do it now.

    My only problem is choosing the correct prizes to award the contestants :( I can only think of giving ad space on my site and create themes for the winners.

    I think that blog contests are a great way to generate some buzz. I was thinking about offering a cash prize since everyone seems to like cash.

    I would do the top guest-poster as far as traffic, comments and social interactions go.

    There will be many interested to have a contest on their blog. I guess you need to form a queue and publish a calender of contests. Recently saw Justin and Kiesha having contests on their blog. I’m thinking about to hold something soon.

    Not sure on which thread i should reply!
    Please just clarify a few things:

    1) would you give monthly giveaways if I am using the Punchtab system? My idea is to make a post informing my readers about the implementation of Punchtab, and then to tell them that each month they can get a BlogEngage prize! Please let me know if we can do like that, or else I will try to figure out a new contest idea

    @) my site publishes erotica, is adult oriented (not porn though) and I also do promote erotica writers for free in my guest authors section. Can you confirm that I qualify?
