As many of you know since we have completed our custom theme we have had some issues with the front page feature slider loading times. We have no redeveloped the slider and implemented Max CDN to help our websites CSS and Image files load faster for our visitors from all over the world.

Max CDN is an amazing way to increase your own blog load times. As you know our load time is now playing a more important role in our search engine rankings. What the service will do is host your images and CSS files on servers across the world.

As you can clearly see I have only been using the program over the last few days. We have implemented the site from main site, blog blog directory and forums. I look forward to using this service full time as the community grows. I hope this helps our world wide users visit the site with me ease and less load time.

Faster Load Times

Speaking of load times I do have some fun stats to share with you. The site previous load time for the home page was 14 seconds. A big part of this issue was our featured slider module. We have now re developed this module to host image outside of the database and on FTP. This allows Max CDN to optimize our larger images on their servers once again closer to you. Now with Max CDN and the new featured slider we are pleased to have our home page load time at 8 seconds. I know the load time is still a far cry from anything amazing but I am working my hardest to make sure we improve to a reasonable load time for all our users world wide.

Analysis and Breakdown

The stats Max CDN has for us are just amazing. We can tell the most popular files being sent, what stats and geographical ares are visiting the most and where the majority of our data is being pulled from. I had a lot of fun browsing the stats and just entertaining myself with where the most traffic is coming from.

Network Connections and Map Overlay

When I initially singed up to Max CDN I didn’t know they had servers world wide for us. I was amazed to see the servers in Asia/Pacific and Europe. I thought this was such a great bonus because we go to much traffic internationally. Several case studies have shown mind blowing results. It is hard to believe how much effect a fast loading site has on your conversion. Mozilla’s optimized experimental variation shaved 2.2 seconds off the average page load time and increased download conversions by 15.4%!

Making your website users have easy access is so important for your blog. When new visitors don’t have access the chances they will be returning are none. Having servers all around the globe allows users to connect to our information when they need it, and quick.

At MaxCDN, their developers know how hard it can be at times to integrate a new system into your Website.

On their website you will find some of their third party software application modules and plug-ins that they have created for CDN use. Best news they have a wordpress plugin for all our blogging members.
