Blog Engage $650 USD Guest Blogging Qualifying Article

If you want more traffic to your blog and in order to get loads of comments, stumbles, retweets, votes, Facebook likes, Google +, views, shares and so on, you have to make sure that your blog post is well presented. You have to do everything that you can to make your blog posts stand out. There are thousands, sorry, I meant millions of bloggers worldwide who you have to compete with when writing to make your blog post one of the best read articles.

Last year was a great year for me when I entered lots of blogging contest hosted by Blog Engage, and I had to write so that I could get more views (more traffic) and social engagement on my article. I’m not sure of how much I made, but it was close to $500 and this was because I wrote my articles in a way to grab the visitors attention. By entering those guest blogging contests the incoming traffic to my blog went up by more than 50%.

Here are some tips for you if you want to get attention on your blog posts and help to increase your blog traffic.

Business Meeting

Gain Traffic With Amazing Headlines

One of the first thing that your blog visitors will notice about your latest or even your oldest blog post is the headline. No matter how pretty or ugly your blog design is, the headline to your post will never go un-noticed.

This is the reason why headlines is the first part to writing blog posts that captures your readers attention.

When choosing a blog post title, it should somewhat give an overview of what that blog post is about. You have to try your very best to come up with titles that tells the whole story in just a few words. Don’t make your title too long, keep it short and spicy so that it makes your blog visitors want to read more.

When writing a new blog post its best to have more than one title, after that you can take a few minutes and figure which title best fits your article.

Introduction Plays A Big Roll In Traffic

Have you ever seen a preview to a movie that has sold millions of copies on Block Buster? Movies that comes to a thearte near you that gets sold out within two days after being released?

Why do you think this happens? This is because the introduction/the movie preview was great. What do you think would happen if you aim to write great introductions to your blog post? It wouldn’t get sold out but you would be sure to get tons of views on your post because those visitors want to see more of what the article is all about.

Introductions are what determines if a person reads your blog post or not. This is because most blog owners use excerpt on their blog’s homepage. Excerpt gives just a preview of the post which is the introduction so you have to make sure that it is well written. Using excerpts also makes your blog’s homepage look neat.

More Traffic By Organizing Your Post With Paragraphs

In truth and in fact, an article that has paragraphs looks much neater whether it was written on a blog, a magazine or news paper. You can get more attention to your blog by using paragraphs and sub-headings to make your main points stand out.

What I want for you to do is quickly scroll over this post. Scroll up and then scroll down a few times if you wish, and then continue reading this post.

Ahaa! You see how easy that was to find the where you are and continue reading? Yes! This is because I have written this post with sub-headings with the use of paragraphs to separate my main points that I wish to stand out in this post. If I had jumbled everything up then my article would look like a total mess. It would be hard to read, if you scroll too fast then you would have problems finding where you were reading.

So my tip to you is write in paragraphs to make your main points stand out and use sub-headings with H1, H2 or H3 tags for SEO purposes.

Images Does Grab Attention And Increases Traffic

I love to look at pictures and an eye catching image always grab my attention. Pictures are so fun to look at and if you use images on your blog post then it can make your article fun to read, and I am pretty sure that the incoming traffic to your blog will love it as well.

Use images that are related to what you are writing is the key. If you are going to use more than one image then what you would want to do is make your images related to your sub-headings. Doing this will make your article look more interesting and also fun to read.

A key point to note: Don’t use BIG images and make sure that your images are neatly place so as to not make your article look messy. Your traffic will go down if your images make your blog look messy.

Display Some Numbers To Show Off Traffic

Showing the amount of comments on a blog post is a very wonderful way of getting some attention on that particular post and this will show that you have lots of traffic. Doing this will make your blog visitors see that your blog post is awesome, especially if you have lots of comments. It will make your visitors think that the post has vital information and those who already commented enjoyed what they have read.

As for me, I am always amazed by the amount of comments an article has, especially when its a high amount. This makes me want to read the article and also share it with the rest of the world.

Another great thing to do is display your social media buttons. Showing off the number of retweets, stumbles or likes on your post can really grab attention. I suggest that you try it, it just might work.

In Conclusion/Group Discussion

When my articles, these are the steps that I always take so as to make my article stand out and grab some, if not all, visitors attention so that they can read my blog posts.

What about you, what have you done to get more traffic and more attention to your blog posts?
