When building online relationships via webmaster forums and other social media websites you have some common techniques in which you must use on a daily basis.
These key factors will determine the level of success, and strength of your online relationships.
Today I’m going to share some of the building block techniques I’ve used to build the Blog Engage community and brand.
1. Create an online brand image in which you will use everywhere you build on your relationships. This will be your image for forums, blog commenting and other online social media activities. It’s very important that you have consistency with this image it should be the same, all the time.
2. Develop consistent and quality content or communication with all your online friends. Make sure the information you give them about yourself or your services comes in a intelligent manner with professional presentation.
3. Look for familiar faces in all the communities you join and immediately add them as friends. This will build your brand strength as you grow into many online social media communities. As you build your relationships friends will start to see you as more of an authority if you follow my guidelines.
4. When you engage with your new friends make sure they know you’re doing it. Tweet their articles but make sure it has their twitter handle @bbrian017 or @blogengage Also make sure your twitter account is supporting your desired brand image. When I tweet my friends articles I need them to know I’m actually on their site and physically tweeting their content.
5. Engage with your friends on many social media websites! Many Blog Engage members know me on Google Plus, Blog Engage, Digg, Twitter and other social media sites.
I hope you enjoyed the tips, best of luck and leave some more suggestions if you have some to share. I would love to hear your thoughts.

Great tips. Especially the one about letting them know that you are tweeting their articles. That’s something I usually don’t do, but would definitely help.
