Blog Engage $500 USD Guest Blogging Qualifying Article
The complete feeling of having a blog and managing it is different and amazing. If you have put some great work in building your blog then it will become one of the most valuable assets of your life. It may happen that you may turn possessive for your blog.
If you have a full network of blogs or just a single blog; and if it has become a part of your life then you might be avoiding other things around you; just for blogging. It happens to most of the bloggers.
When bloggers are trying to make a living out of their blogs they intend to miss out on other opportunities to enjoy their life. But sometimes you can get fed up with blogging and want to take a break from it. Or it may happen that your power has been cut and you know it will take too long to be online again. Such moments are the most important. Take the full advantage of such moments.
Here are some things that you should do when you are not blogging. This will help you keep balance in your life and also remain connected with the society.
Few Things to do when you are Fed up with Blogging
1. Take a complete sleep
Most of the times when you blog, you intend to take short sleeps and spare most of your time in front of your computer screens. Becoming a dedicated blogger, you will fail to get complete sleep.
As a result of this, you are avoiding your health; which is not at all good as it may affect the quality of your work. IF you are feeling sleepy, then instead of remaining awake just for the sake of writing a post; take a nap. This will be much helpful and you will end up writing an article more beautifully.
2. Get some time for your family
Every family loves and feels proud when their child is doing something great and is becoming ready to take on the responsibility of the house. But at the same time, they seek to spend some time with you.
Spending the whole day in your room working to build your blog or maintain it and not sparring any time for your family is not a good thing. Sitting with your parents, discussing small issues with them, hanging out with your siblings; these all small things will give you a much needed energy boost. Also they can provide you with the necessary decision for your future.
3. Friends = Fun
Friends are the most important part of a person’s life. If a person doesn’t have any friend, he won’t be able to live comfortably in this world. A friend is the only being with whom you can share everything in your life.
Spare some hours and go out of your house and spend some time with your friends. Go for long drives, take food in the hotels, go for movies, do some shopping or enjoy some crazy things that you can do only with your friends. Remember, if you don’t give importance to your friends, it’s you who will suffer. Although you will have thousands of friends online, but they won’t come to help you when you are in need. So it’s much important to maintain your friendship.
4. Get towards Social Networks
Sometimes you might not be able to stay in touch with your friends due to various reasons, like they stay in different city. But that shouldn’t be a problem.
Use your spare time to connect with your friends via social networks. Chat with them on Facebook or organize a hangout on Google plus. Another advantage of this is that you can socialize with your readers and followers. They will love this gesture a lot.
5. Study as well
You must be a great blogger and you might be having a large number of followers who respect you a lot; but what if those followers come to know of your educational qualifications. If you are under-qualified then they will surely generate a negative feeling about you. Not always but sometimes.
Also, our society loves doctors, engineers and scientists; so it’s important to at least have a respectable degree in your hand. So your studies must not suffer because of your blogging passion.
Also reads different kinds of novels or read some encyclopedias to brush up on your general knowledge.
And here my list closes where I share some things which would relax you when you get too tired or fed up with blogging. Hope you implement them and do let us know your views via comments.
6. Play the music
Try to take up the music bath when you are fed up with blogging. Music is a great way to get your mind relaxed. You will find music to a soul what a water bath is to a body. As a blogger, more that your body your mind gets tired and to come up with a fresh idea and new topics for your readers you should need to have an active mind.
The body can only come up with the potential that you mind can imagine so to get your mind into the right direction when its getting distorted listen to the music that you like the most make a playlist of the songs you love to listen and you will find that a new energy is developing and you listen to that music.
7. Go out for a walk or other tasks
Spending too much of time in front of a laptop is not good for your health. You spend lots of time in a closed room while doing blogging. You need to have fresh air and relax your eyes from the rays that are coming from your monitor screen. It has been also observed that the teen that spends too much of time in front of computers grows less active as they grow up.
Go out for a shopping or a gadget shop near to you place so that you come to know what exactly going in your locality. Do help your parents and bring them the daily house hold items this will lower down the burden of your parents, relax your mind and even keep up the good atmosphere of your house.
Life is always too tough and there might be some joyful days too and the same might happen with your blogging business. But when you’re fed up while working too much, then you shall try the methods I’ve mentioned above.

Hey Rizwan,
Yeah,
Without fun, we don’t have a life though.
Yes, proper balance is required else most probably, we would get pissed off while doing work for hours and hours.
BTW Rizwan, what do you do when you’re fed up with blogging?

“Get a life!!” has been a common expression among online enthusiasts since the days before the Internet. There are interesting arguments going on right now as to whether “Internet Addiction” is a disorder to be recognized in the DSM-V or merely a symptom of other mental disorders. In any case, there seem to be a lot of sufferers, and the best treatment is to “get a life!” or make sure to maintain it. Offline activities that include “face time” with friends (“smart phones DOWN!”) and hobbies that don’t revolve around the PC are essential. Good points you raised here, Kuldeep.

Hi Holly, Nice to see here.
Before starting with my reply, just a piece of random information that I’m also a participating in the Blog Engage Guest Blogging Contest #5. Although there’s no chance for me to get the #1 or the #2 price since it’s too late now as I didn’t got enough time to promote the contest entry. But I would fight for spot #3. Well, you and Hajra are doing really well. I’ll comment on your posts by tomorrow.
Replying to your comment, Internet Addiction can’t be one of the mental disorders. LOL! Don’t you think so?
However, am also an Internet Addict but I can’t consider it as any sort of mental disease.
Since I also maintain my personal life. i.e. meeting with people Face to face.
BTW Holly, what do you do when you’re fed up with blogging?

Kuldeep, I know that you’re competing with me. Did you think I’d stay away and not comment because of that? I try to support all of the competitors in the contest – without them, a win would provide no satisfaction at all. As long as everyone competes fairly, I try to leave comments and share the posts and offer my support and encouragement. In the long run, we’re likely to encounter each other again, and maybe need each other’s help with something. Isn’t it better to keep good will between us than to go all out to trounce each other in ONE contest? I do appreciate your honest disclosure, here, though.
They are seriously debating whether to include “Internet Addiction” in the DSM-V. There are many who feel it is merely a symptom of other psychological disorders (for example, obsessive-compulsive disorder). I believe it is very similar to a gambling addiction for many; the reward mechanisms in the brain are triggered in similar ways. Yes, I do think dopamine plays a part, here. But I’d rather be an Internet addict than to suffer other addictions!! There are both positive and negative repercussions for the Internet addict; there are only negative ones for the drug addict.
Do you maintain your grades in school? Do your chores in a timely manner, without complaint? Get OUTSIDE?
And that’s an excellent question, Kuldeep. When I’m “fed up” with blogging (or writing, in general), I turn to art or photography. Sometimes, my creativity takes a more silent and colorful journey, and I’m learning to explore and appreciate that side of myself, as well as the stillness and joy of it.
See the link below for an example of how the two can go hand in hand.

Holly, Glad to know you knew it. NO NO, I Didn’t meant that! I was just telling that I would be fighting for the third spot since you and Hajra are doing extremely well in this contest. But I really admire your view. It’s really true that a win without helping other competitors would provide no satisfaction at all. Since you’re more experienced, it would be an honor for me to learn many such things from which would help me in the long run or my career.
Ya, It’s a topic of debate that Internet Addiction is merely a symptom or any psychological disorder. But even though if I call myself as an Internet Addict, I do not feel guilty about that since am not a drug addict which has too many negative effects on my health and I have to face various consequences later for that. For an Internet Addict, it also matters that how is he using Internet day in and day out! Is he/she indulged into something productive which can help him increase his knowledge, like blogging or writing or something which can help him make some bucks on his/her own will? Else he is misusing internet and wasting time in using Internet for mere gaming, viewing porn, and other unproductive activities which clearly makes me agree to your point that ‘ There are both positive and negative repercussions for the Internet addict; there are only negative ones for the drug addict.’.
Haha, you asked me about my school grades.. LOL!
Well, I really do good at studies. In my previously class, I successfully passed out with 9.6 CGPA out of 10. However, sometimes I miss my Home work or assignments due to online activities or laziness and later I have to face consequences for the same.
But I think that it does not matters since I work hard during my exams and I score well too. And I do a maintain a proper balance between my online and offline life.
Wow, Art and Photography are really interesting. That means you turn out to be a creative person!
Art and Photography has its own pleasure. In fact, I do love them but I’m not too good at them.
Checked that link, is it something like you’re giving away copies of a book, right? You write books too? If yes, I appreciate that!

Not “giving away” copies of my book, no – I’ll be reading the book aloud to the kids who attend this event, then they’ll get to paint ceramic monsters of their own (these are really little coin saving banks shaped like monsters – you can see them in the photos, and you can see the ones I did that look like Trockle and his mom). I will have First Edition, autographed copies of the book, there, to sell. I hope they’ll want their own copies to take home and read to their little monsters!

Trockle is the story of a little boy who is afraid to go to bed because there’s a monster living under it. As his mother reassures him that there is no monster under the bed, a little monster is being comforted by his own mother. It seems there’s a great big smelly BOY living over HIS bed…
I’ve written two children’s books, and have a couple of published short story anthologies. I’m working on the third children’s book (or, rather, the illustrator is working on it) and a sci-fi short story.
I hope I get a huge gathering at the event, too – Color Me Mine – Cypress is taking reservations now, and can accommodate about 45 kids. If anyone knows someone in Houston who has kids, send them the link below…

Personally – I would say that one needs to do this not only when you are fed up with Blogging – but to keep the interest alive and fresh as well. If take regular personal time for yourself you will be able to focus and achieve a lot more professionally. Blogging can take its toll, and you need to have other interest as not to drift over to posting low quality content.

I agree with your perception but at times, we get stuck up and tired while working and in certain situations, we can apply the methods given above which can help you to make out mood fresh, provide relaxation and get back to work. However, I also agree with your view that these activities can also help you to keep the interest alive and fresh.
And the rest, you have said it well.
However, I would like to know what do you prefer to do when you’re stuck i.e. when you get fed up with blogging?
