Yesterday we had an amazing experience form our blog engage community.

We united and came together to vote for one specific article. Karl started a movement and I want to see this legacy continue.

Yesterday we hit our first article with over 50 votes

(now sitting at 66)

This just goes to show we have the ability to be an amazing community but in order to do this we have to visit daily and vote more often.

I want to challenge you all to start making new friends. I want you all to start building new relationships with bloggers here at blog engage.

Comment on the story submissions and encourage the sharing attitude amongst our new and old members.

As we help each other grow we ourselves will naturally grow. Don’t be shy post comments on peoples blogs, build friendships and help each other be successful.

Keep using the site everyone. Don’t stop keep submitting keep voting and you will soon see blog engage really is the best blogging community on the web. I ask you to believe in us. Believe that we can be and are going to be the best.

Don’t give up on us. If you can I ask you to blog about our community. Tell your friends and be proud of what we accomplished. Spread the word and help blog engage grow larger.

I lost the Humor group I started in an early upgrade. (I know you lost yours, too, Brian–I’m not complaining.) I’m thinking about starting a new one so that humor bloggers can more easily find and vote up each others’ posts. BlogEngage is a great, supportive community. I think you’re showing that with the response to Karl’s article.

Thanks for the kind words Kat. I’m sure if you start a group now you will have no issues. I might actually go and start mine again. Let us know if you start it I will be sure to join it.

Brian, I’ve added Humor, Sarcasm and Satire Central to Groups, but the first few tries failed, saying, “invalid token.” Now when I try to message you I get a blank screen. That’s why I’m writing to you this way. I’m not sure how to message friends to ask them to join my group. Can you help?

Hi Kat I will look into the invalid token issue. Regarding the private messaging I removed that due to the spam issues. I was afraid our members woudl just get private message spam. I have removed the buttons you clicked. Thanks for reminding me about them.Currently we have no way to message friends or members about groups.

This was great and very innovative on Karl’s part. Fun to see the post voted up.

It’s also a bit discouraging. You know I vote up other people’s posts obsessively. It doesn’t take much time. But I’m not sure the effort is the best place to spend limited resources. Only about half of my posts have been published — even though they are generally unique content and/or very specific, carefully documented tutorials. And my top post is about 21 votes — and was just a short update explaining that the concrete panels had been delayed. Not remotely the best or most informative post!

Now that the top voters are buried on a lower page, even that doesn’t bring exposure.

No, I’m not giving up on BE. :) Just seems that most people post hoping for votes but don’t spend much time giving them back. Then again, I guess that’s pretty typical in our culture. :/

      Alison,
Glad you’re not giving up on BE just yet. I have seen how you helped others with your dedication and I’m sure others have too. I’ll try my best to support you and others however I can. You can nudge me with a new post for voting in case I missed it. :-) Until then, I’ll keep my eyes open when I’m here.

Hey Alison, I just went through and voted on everyone of your posts that you have submitted on BE. Most are now one vote closer to being published while a few did make it over the threshold. :) My way of saying thank you for all the great feedback and support you always show our posts over at FMS.

      All the best,

      Karl

Oh! Thanks Ching Ya and Karl. So kind of you! It wasn’t really meant to be a pity post, just noting some thoughts. :) But I appreciate the votes very much.

Today, I noticed that Brians “I have nothing to blog about today” post went over the top. Sheesh! Wish I could do that!
