In October Elegant Themes announced the release of their new theme Sky WordPress Theme. The Sky theme loads the content seamlessly using Ajax. What this means is your page loads first and if you have the slider installed, it doesn’t matter how many pages you have linked to that slider because each page is only loaded when it is displayed. With some sliders, they can slow down the home page load times.

Four Unique Color Schemes

Sky comes the option of choosing red, purple, blue, or green color schemes.

Portfolio Section

If you want to display your photos, graphic design projects, or websites you have created, you can easily do that with the portfolio option. The gallery is setup with a full view lightbox for each image and its paginated.

Home Page Slider

On the Home page, you can enable the featured slider that you can use to display important articles or pages so all the new visitor can see what you have to offer. Through the ePanel, you can control the animations and the speed.

Blog Layout

The blog layout is setup so you can feature a category of post on the home page.

Advertising Management

Sky also comes with an advertising option where you can place 125×125 banner images in your sidebar and 468×60 ads on your article pages. With this added feature, you can get rid of another plugin and use the theme tools to manage your banner ads!
