Does Blog Engage Increase traffic for small bloggers

With all the blogging social networking websites popping up it’s hard to pick the right one that will fit your needs as a blogger. Making new friends and meeting new bloggers can sometimes be overwhelming. I do my best to make all bloggers feel welcomed here at blogengage and so far it seems to be working out for the majority of our members.

I’m a big fan of Google and over the past few months I have seriously been taking advantage of their Analytics program which tracks and watches website traffic. Google offers many services to anyone and yes it’s free of cost as well. SEO Tools, Traffic Tracking Tools and more. When I first started blogengage I developed the site to help increase traffic generated to other peoples blogs and it’s also working out great for my personal beginners SEO blog.

I own a Search Engine Optimization and Marketing Blog for the basis of organic traffic generation. I talk about simple things such as Google, Yahoo, and MSN SEO. I also discuss other topics such as Meta Tags and Marketing business and websites according to these practices when online.

I was looking at my daily stats for the 13 websites I own and I noticed something pretty cool regarding the traffic I was getting at seomkt. Blog Engage was in the top two referrers to my blog! First came good old Google and I’m very thank full for this free traffic and second came blogengage.com I’ll show the screenshot below for the stats! I only started using Google Analytics a little while back as you can tell from this screenshot!

Search Engine Optimization Marketing

I don’t do much marketing for this blog and I don’t post often. It’s more or less a personal hobby and learning experience for me. Currently I’m using the entrecard, blogcatalog and mybloglog! I have my rss feeds goings into these places in hopes for traffic generation. When I seen blogengage come before these sites I was so pumped to know that other bloggers or members might be experiencing the same thing.

Are you getting traffic from blogengage?

If so how much and are we in your top few referrers?

Most importantly are the visitors Engaging with your posts!

Do you get more comments from using our service?

Well, I do get some traffic from Blog Engage when I submit a post > The traffic is not consistent… probably because the articles get buried after sometime..

One thing that I see is that because of having the same top voted blog posts up on display on the homepage, the fresh submissions don’t get a chance to be seen and voted for… some of the good ones pass down the pages due to this…

Hi Brian, I do get a little traffic from Blogengage but not as much as I had hoped. What I find disappointing is that some people actually ‘engage’ an entry I submitted without actually visiting the blog it came from, which is silly considering one cannot actually give a proper score without reading the full article.

I have submitted some articles and got some traffic from them, and others not, but I don’t think it was blog engage that was the problem, but the arcticles I sent in.
I have enjoyed using it, and find it interesting, but haven’t had a whole lotta time to really get the full use of it yet! But I will soon.
Thanks Brian for all the work you do, and for helping us little guys out (bloggers) it is actually fun to read and engage and comment on blog engage.
