First impression is the key to success.
Like you said, when you got to a job interview, you look the best you can be. Visitors coming to you blog site will be more attracted a unique design than a design that looks poor and not well maintained.

Very important, and am glad you touched on it with this video. Many bloggers don’t get this and they need to be reminded about it. It’s worth the investment on buying a professionally made template. Like seriously? A hundred bucks is at least what you can spare!

    Once again, Brian, Informative video!

Hi Sam, thanks for the comment and visiting. I always think appearance is the key to opening many doors in life which means it should also be applied online when again people are judging us. I know many bloggers can’t afford a custom theme or 100 bucks like you mentioned but that doesn’t amen they can’t customize their websites. There’s tons of free themes out there for bloggers to use and customize.

Getting a custom theme or template for your blog has become essential for setting it apart as well as establishing it as a brand identity. I’m currently in the process of doing the same. Sadly, there are very few resources how designing a blogspot template :(

Blog theme is really essential. It’s like choosing what to wear on your first date! You have to look classy in order to get the second one!

Hi! I checked out your new video in your blog again and I must say that you have the talent in speaking and entertaining other people. For me, blog theme is not an easy thing to do maybe because I am not an artist and do not have the talent to personalize my blog. Still, thanks for sharing your insight, it is good and the first thing that came up to my mind is success.

Content will always be king but the look and presentation of a blog can definitively deter readers. Another big factor that I think goes along with it is page load time. When I focused on lowering my page load time I saw a huge decrease in bounce rate. Thanks again, great article.

    Nicely done up video Brian!

You are so right when it comes to first impressions! I guess the whole outlook and the way you impress a person depends upon the way you are able to portray yourself to them, and where bloggers are concerned, you just have your blog to make that first time impression on people.

I guess it does work wonders to have a well done up and paid blog, instead of a free one for all the benefits it has :)

    Thanks for sharing :)

Hello Harleena I think the largest benefit would be with a paid. With that said I have seen many really awesome blogspot or blogger themes. I don’t think the cost is what is important. I think the important aspect is customizing your blog so it meets your own personality.
