As we all know well enough blogging is never as easy as it seems. We have busy lives, obligations and other commitments that take up much of our available time. Finding ways to make blogging easier or more convenient is always in our list of things to do.

WooThemes - WordPress themes for everyone

Personally since I’ve been blogging the one feature that has saved me the most time is called advances pre scheduling content. This allows you to write up to three of four days on content on your blog and setting the specific dates in which you want it to publish on.

So if you’re too busy during the week but find yourself with ample time on the weekend this suggestion is perfect for you. Simple write all your articles and instead of hitting publish you select the edit option and pick the date you want your articles to be published on.

Another great way to increase your productivity is to reduce the size of your post. Write smaller articles and you will find yourself becoming more productive and producing more and more readable materials for your visitors.

Go Daddy $7.49 .com sale

First of all I would like to clearly state I am an active customer of Godaddy and have been using their service now for about 3 years. All my websites are hosted on a dedicated server in which I purchase form them on a yearly basis.

The customer support has been amazing to date. I think the most beneficial aspect of hosting with godaddy is they always have someone to talk with. Either it’s one on one over the telephone or inline chat support.

The coolest thing about godaddy is they offer unique hosting plans to meet everyone’s needs. This can be from small economy hosting to dedicated systems. The price is always right. They offer volume discounting so if you pay in advanced they will cut you a discount right over the phone. They also offer amazing service by refunding your payment at anytime even when you pay in advance. (Pro Rated)

GoDaddy.com Hosting & Servers

Godaddy also allows for unlimited SQL and databases just in case you have multiple websites running on the same host. With unlimited bandwidth Godaddy seems to always be the right choice for new or advanced bloggers.

So if you’re currently using blogger or wordpress and are looking to move to your own self hosted blog make sure to check out Godaddy using my referral links. I would greatly appreciate it and you would be supporting me and our blogging community.

Many bloggers don’t take load times, blog speed and functionality into consideration when determining what their blog needs. Did you know you could be holding the growth of your blog back by not self hosting your website?

There are many reason to why a bloggers should look at self hosted opportunities lets take a look at a few of them. Remember this can apply to you if you are using blogger or wordpress. Don’t allow your host to hold back your blogging growth.

1. Website loads slow
2. Website images take for ever to load
3. Sidebar holds up the load time of your blog
4. Your visitors aren’t leaving comments
5. Your complaints list continues to grow larger
6. Your blog is lagging here and there
7. Your visitors are getting page not found
8. Getting 404 errors when trying to visit your website
9. No one returns after their first visit to your blog
10. Your server says you’re out of resources.

Now you’re probably asking yourself the following questions, if I’m not happy what are my choices. I have four suggestions for you.

Godaddy - I use godaddy here on blogengage and recommend it seeing I’m a customer and their service is just amazing.

Host gator – I heard a lot of positive reviews regarding hostgator make sure to let me know how it works out if you decide to use them.

HostICan – is a competitive hosting company equal to hostgator and godaddy.

SuperGreenHosting – This Company is very competitive and has a great price for month hosting and is definitely worth checking out.

Please refer to the following post for an updated announcement. I am very happy to announce I have installed and successfully set up an Adsense Revenue Sharing Program for our Blog Engage Community. I am still working on the positioning of the ad as I know it needs a little tweaking but over the next little while it will change.

To demonstrate how the a Adsense Revenue Sharing Program works I’m going to use the account of my good friend Geoserv. If you visit his profile you will see he has edited his information and added his Google Adsense PUB number. This means when anyone visits his story page and clicks an ad they will be clicking his very own Google Ad. Please also take note the Google PUB number Geo has on his profile for later reference.

Now lets go visit a story Geo recently submitted to demonstrate in more detail how the Adsense Revenue Sharing Program works. Select the submitted tab on Geo’s profile to see his latest submissions. From here select the story named, 9 Blogs I Found on Blog Engage. When we proceed to that page we will see an ad is on display for this story. If you right click and view the properties of the Google ad you will see it matches the Google Pub number Geo added to his profile.

When you inspect the code you will see the Geo’s code is being displayed and he will make money from any clicks on that ad. I’m using FireBug a Firefox add-on and that’s why I was able to easily search his pub number.

So besides the current placement what do you think? Will this motivate you to start submitting your blog content more and more and perhaps on a daily basis?

Ok we all enjoy blogging and the majority of us, myself included, do have tendency to post once a day, but from experience, this can lead to you becoming a bit of a slave to your blog and trying to think up posts to post everyday.

This will eventually cause you to get the dreaded “bloggers block” where you can sit there for a while trying your hardest to think of something to blog about and then possibly coming up with one of the worst posts that you have ever written!

I find that when this happens I come away from my blog, go off and do something else, such as watch TV or read a book, chat to friends etc. If I’m out and about I take notes or photos of things that may give me inspiration, even reading other blogs may give you the kick start you need, sooner or later a spark of inspiration will rear it’s head and eureka a new blog post is born. I was over reading my friends blog yesterday when I seen an article he wrote and dedicated to our social community blog engage. After reading the article I realized how much our community really supports one another and from experience in the blogosphere this is truly a rare siting.
