The first official gust blog at blogengage has arrived. With great pleasure I invited this individual to blog here at blog engage not only due to the success at their blog site but also in their personal life. Most of our members know about this blogger and it’s not the first time I mentioned this person either. When I read an individual’s blog I don’t only look for well written content I look for style, class, and personality. I try and make sure the blog articles I’m reading are coming from someone I can trust and the words being written are in fact true.I don’t read just any blog either, you could even say I moderate, discard and delete even more then I read! Please share a warm welcome here at the Blog Engage Blog and welcome our very first guest blogger… Dr. Ferox
Blog with feeling.
So often when browsing for new posts to read I despair at the sheer volume of blogs about how to make money blogging, make money on the internet, seo, blah blah blah. Even worse, there are a huge number of blogs out there that are little more than a poor attempt to link some keywords together and get some visitors to click on high paying adsense words. Many of them don’t even read like proper English, or do nothing more than spout the same information over and over again.
What happened to Blogs being actual weblogs where people could keep track of their thoughts, experiences, feelings or learning? It’s become all about the keywords and making money, and so many blogs lack their personal touch.
There’s nothing wrong with having a personality to your blog, no obligation to present the bare facts and no reason not to blog with some feeling!
A personal touch or point of view is what makes your words different from all the other content poured into the net every day. It makes you stand out, and it makes blogging feel more fun for you. It’s also more engaging for your readers, because lets face it, more blog readers are doing so for entertainment, not for an education
Well said, we agree completely. We started blogging so that our voice would be heard to anyone who wanted to read what we had to say. To us the best blogs out there are ones that incorporate the feelings and opinions of the writer. We too have run across many that repeat the same information you can find on many other blogs. We are always looking for that personal touch, which is what makes the experience real and not just another site with repeat information.
Great article you wrote here Ferox! It’s not too hard to spot these blogs you talk about! I see many blogs come through blogengage with this exact blogging method being used. I’m not too sure if they even care about their blog because the money being made is more important! I’ve even lost interest to blog at a seo marketing blog I own, http://www.seomkt.com It got to the point where all the information was so repetitive and I just don’t like that.
I’ve been a little more active at http://www.iknownil.com and again I think I enjoy it because it’s a personal blog and has absolute nothing to do with making money.
Thanks for guest posting it was a pleasure having you here.
