WooThemes - WordPress themes for everyone

Over the last few weeks I have been in contact with a specific company that is offering me and our members here at blogengage a unique opportunity to make money form a revenue sharing program. At this point I don’t want to mention any names seeing it’s still in discussion but before I go and approve the program and launch it I want to get some feedback from you, our members.

Here’s the deal. I have negotiated this very well and have created an amazing opportunity for all our members to easily make their first 100 USD. I’m given a promotional coupon from this company and when you sign up using it they offer the following special deal.

We offer all the publishers that have the code (in other words, referred by you) a unique one-time bonus:

During the first 6 months of their activity we double the first $50 they share That is, when they have accumulated $50 of shared revenue the revenues of all their contributors, thus making it $100 in shared revenue.

So this means if you make 50 USD within the first 6 months of using this service they will pay out 100 USD to you with no questions asked. The sad part is it’s clearly states you must make the 50 USD within the first 6 months or it’s a no deal.

So what do you think? Should we give it a try? I mean really what do we have to lose? Please vote and share your thoughts in the comment system.

Benefits

  • Looks and feels the same as Google ads
  • Earn from many ads and not just one (Story Page)
  • 50 USD bonus offer for first 6 months
  • Automatic increase in share percentage to 70% (all the time for all ads)
  • Dash Board management to track earnings and clicks

Member Obligations

  • Article Submissions
  • Community Activity such as voting and commenting

What I would like to do Karl is make sure it’s something we all want. I think this is a great opportunity for us all and I’m down with it. Let’s see what everyone else has to say. This program will allow you to earn on all website ads and not just the story page. This could be great for us all if launched correctly.

Brian, I’m not sure how to vote, because I’m not sure what OUR obligation would be. Could you give us more details about what would be required of bloggers in order to earn/participate in the program?

Thanks for working on behalf of all of us!

Alison that’s a great question and I will update the post with this information. But seeing you asked I will also answer here. If we were to go with this company I would create ads, insert them on to blogengage and all our members would sign up for an account with them. When you reached a specific amount of money they would send you your money.

The only obligation would be to sign up under my promotion code so you are part of my revenue sharing program. You would also have to submit articles to the site as well but you are already doing this daily anyways. I will know more details soon.

The big catch seems to be making the first $50 in a 6 month time period. On that note, I feel Google Ads is a waste of time and if there’s another way to make money with rev. sharing I’d like to learn more. Another question: what happens if you don’t make $50 in the first 6 months? Are you dropped from the program? I’d also like to know more about the requirements as well.

    • (December 10, 2009 at 6:36 am) | Permalink

Hi Therese thanks for stopping by and posting your opinion and most importantly this valid question. Assuming you are lucky enough to reach 50 USD you will be paid 100USD if within the initial 6 months. If you’re not so lucky then you will be paid accordingly for what you have earned. You will never be removed from the program assuming your blogengage account isn’t deleted or banned. if you earned 45 USD you will be paid 45 USD.

    Hi Brian,

This is interesting. But I would like to know more about the service. I have a contractual aggreement with my blog network that prevents me from using certain advertizing on my blog, and I am sure I am not the only one out there.

Plus it would need to offer something for niches also – will this be on the blog engage site, or is this an opt-in for our individual blogs?

I voted, becuase I want to know more.

Hi Amber great questions. The ads we speak of for revenue sharing will be on blogengage and blogengage only. Your blog is your blog and you will never be expected to ad our ads in your location. You would simply sign up to the company in order to earn from submitting, commenting and voting. Overall being an active member of our community.

Copy-Blogger what happens is we share revenues with you as a member. Currently we give you 50% of all Google Adsense earnings here on blogengage. (for your story page) I’m not sure if you have entered your PUB number in your profile but if you did you would be earning Google money from blogengage for all your article submissions. Well the same would apply with this other company. You would add an identification number that represents your account and we would share the earnings from ad clicks on blogengage with you.

  11. (December 10, 2009 at 7:12 am) | Permalink

Thank you Brian for your work on this opportunity.

If I am reading this correctly, there is a single user account (yours) through which all the ad activity will be tracked. If that is the case, what will be the methodology used to track individual user ad revenue? Or when you are talking about the $50, are you referring to a collective community total?

U.S. Common Sense, that is a great question and I’m still learning how that part works. It’s either we share all the earnings as a whole entity or it’s divided based on story pages and unique identification numbers. I will let you know more when I find out. Right now I’m just wondering if it’s something the community would like to try out. My next post regarding this offer will include detailed information answering your question.

Brian, I am always for new things as long as it makes sense this seem good. So if I understand this correctly no cost to anyone. Keep doing what you do submit and vote on articles. Just sign up for account under your promo code. If you hit $50 within 6 months you get $50 bonus.

One question can you also use this service on you own blog? Run you own ads etc. Our would that require a separate account.

Individual accounts will be allowed. This would be called a publisher but as for revenue sharing you would be a contributor. It’s unknown at this time if a separate account will be needed. There is no cost to anyone, and yeas if you sign up under my promo code you get a chance at making an extra 50 USD bonus if you hit 50 USD within the first 6 months of sharing revenue.

Jordasche Bledsoe, this 50 USD is a minimum and not a maximum. There’s a good chance many of our members will make a thousand dollars. What they are saying is if you make under the 50 USD by the 6 months mark you will not get the bonus. I guess it’s a stipulation and they want to cover their butts.

    Allow me!

First I think replacing Google with another ads company is a success!

    Why?!

Because by this mean you are growing, and by this way you will experience new levels on how to make earnings from your social network, and how to share it with your community members. I think it could work better in generating revenue, as Google will pay you exactly the amount you have earned only, but your case here is different now, the earnings will be doubled if any of the members reached $50 in the coming 5 months, correct me if I am wrong.

Another cool this the ability to earn from submitting, commenting and voting on submissions, which is not giving to much extra earnings from Google Ads impressions, so I must say go for it.

On the benefits you said that dash board management to track earnings and clicks, is this going to be in our accounts, I mean for members or for you only?

Maybe you know that I am still planning my own social network, and one of the things that I want to include in my plan is having a kind of affiliate program, that let’s members earn by referring others to sign up to the community and buy a service, it could be a another dimension for BlogEngage as well, so rather than asking people to ad a link or a banner for BlogEnagage, people will do at as part of their making money biz. I just cannot put my hands on the good tools yet.

Everyone is afraid to click Google ads! And this is true, I have like 7 clicks in 2 months and I have earned about $5 dollars only from FamousBloggers.net till now :) but I don’t find this weird because people in our making money community are aware of AdSense, and it’s natural to avoid clicking, but for myself I click when I find something interesting on the ads! Anyways, I think earnings will start when search engines drive some new visitors.

Sharing is caring, so thanks for asking for our opinions, and good luck with your new deal, plz ask if you need any help or opinion, this is what we are here for.

Sorry for the long comment, but this is inspiring.. I am going to stop now and hit the submit button!

Sounds good on insight however the big question for me if you don’t hit the fifty dollars in the first six month would you still get the first fifty dollars aor would you loose all? thanks bbrian017

    • (December 10, 2009 at 10:09 am) | Permalink

Lawmacs, You start earning money as you would with any other PPC ad company. If you hit 50 USD dollars in Shared Revenue within 6 months you get a 50 USD bonus. If you don’t make the bonus you still get to keep your original earnings. So you start with nothing but always get to keep your own earnings. Also another cool things about this program is you don’t need to wait until 100 USD to cash out you can cash out with only 10 USD.

Jeevanjacobjohn, well if we go with this company you will earn ads from story pages that you submit to our website! The ads displayed on your story pages will be your revenue and not mine. Right now we have this with Google. In your profile you can enter your pub number and earn 50% of all revenues earned on your blog engage story page.

This company will be the same but they don’t only sue Google they use other advertisers so it will mix it up.,

Have you added your PUB number?

From what you have explained brian, i don’t see any harm in doing it. As some of the members said, you have to try it before you know it works or not.

Now my only concern is that it may come with a lot of restrictions that we don’t know about. And the payment threshold of $50 on shared revenue seems kind of high, but the way blogengage is growing and bringing in more traffic, i think it will not be that hard for most people to reach that level.

It would be great if you could get some more detail and maybe read all the “fine prints”. I am sure that will make it easier to decide on it.

Whichever way you decide, i wish you and all of engagers luck.
