I wanted to do a quick video today because I was so inspired by the children I’m teaching to blog right now. Blogging is becoming so big they are teaching it as part of the curriculum in schools. I’ve been lucky enough to be hired on as an educational consultant and my job is to teach the kids how to blog.
We are still in the early stages such as creating titles, writing our first paragraph and using features like bold, center, underline and bullets. It’s amazing how quick they are catching on but what seems to surprises me the most is how excited they are about owning their own blogs. Today we an excellent day and I think we have found a new way to get the kids excited about literature again. I hope you enjoy the video let me know your thoughts by leaving a comment below.

Yes in Canada teaching blogging is something many schools are doing. If it’s a success it could become something board wide! Which I think would be amazing for the kids. When you can love something and write about it. there’s no better feeling of accomplishment in the world.

Hi Rob, thanks for the comment. I think what happens here is if you don’t love what your blogging about of even doing in life it becomes a job. Sometimes people are lucky enough to love their job but this is not always the case.

Brian, while you were talking about the kids listing what they love, I realized that I love jokes and love people who joke around. I love the Honey Badger video, Monty Python clips, Brian Reagan, Pablo Francisco, Dave Chapelle — the list goes on and on. Laughing is the reason to live. That and music. Thanks for the focus.

You have to blog about what you love, blog about a particular topic that you’re excited about, or blog in a certain way that excites you because you have to have something to keep you going when you feel that your blog is not performing successfully.
