I know many of our members want to know what’s going to be awarded to the top bloggers of our contest. To date I haven’t been specific regarding what the first, second or third place winners will be awarded.
All everyone knows is we have a total of 1000 USD but nothing has been set in stone stating what the top bloggers will actually receive.
Today I will announce the top prizes for the contest and they are as follows.
First place: 500 USD
Second Place: 300 USD
Third place: 200 USD
All other runner ups will be rewarded with free wordpress themes from our sponsors along with free yearly hosting plans. We have some great articles written to date so make sure to get out and see what our members are blogging about.
Things you should know.
1. The winners will be announced 15 days after the closing dead line. This is to allow the late bloggers time to market and promote their article.
2. Only one article will be considered as a bloggers contest entry. if a blogger writes multiple article we will take the best from the bunch and use it as your contest submission.
3. Comments and interaction between the bloggers and readers is of most importance and will be weighed heavily in the contest. make sure to build conversations with your readers and reply to all their comments.
4. Make sure to market and promote your article on all your favorite social networks. Blog about your article on your blog and promote it. I high amount of importance will be placed on your ability to promote and market your blogging article.
Who can participate?
All Blog Engage members can write for us and have the opportunity to win any prize offered in this contest. We only ask that you have a valid paypal account to accept your winnings and prizes.
To be fair I will be allowing the top multiple guest bloggers to take home a cash prize. We do however have some rules for our guest bloggers to follow in order to be considered for a prize.
Post Guidelines
Guest posts must be at least 450 words, not to exceed 1000 words.
You may have as many links as you wish in the body of the content. However, please limit links to your projects or websites to your bio. Absolutely no affiliate links allowed.
Your bio must have a Gravatar. Please use a picture of yourself and not a logo.
Keep your post relevant to the overall theme of this blog. You can write about any of the following topics Making Money Online, Blogging Tips, Traffic, Design, Social Networking, SEO, Marketing, Technology and other industry or niche specific topics you think blog engage members would be interested in reading.
Quality of the articles
Your written content will be judged and have a lot to do with your chances of winning. Making sure your articles it top quality and good content should be very important to you.
Social Networking
A large percentage of judging will be based on your ability to social network and market your articles. This includes sphinn, blog engage, digg, twitter and whatever else you want to promote with.
Comments and Discussions
Having the ability to engage your readers is a must. The total amount of comments you have on your article will have a large impact on the judging. We want to see what your readers are saying and would like to see you creating conversations with them.
Number of articles submitted
Obviously submitting more then one article will help you win. I will take the highest scored article and use that as your official submission for the contest.
Tweet and retweet
It’s very important to market your articles. I don’t know how much I can stress this. Finding people to comment and engage your article could be the difference form winning of losing. Make sure to tweet and re tweet your article. This is big money here so don’t waste anytime.
How To Win
- You must be a member of the blog engage community
- You must write about the contest including the contest sponsors links
- Register for an account here and fill out your bio info Also please get a gravatar if you don’t have one.
- Contact me admin (@) blogengage dot com letting me know your username
- We will review your account and upgrade it so you can write for the blog
- Write your post, save it and it will be reviewed and published
- Write a post about the contest to help spread the word in the blogosphere. Your post (contest submission) will be judged First on quality of the content and style of the post.
- Add Sponsors links to your post using the correct anchor text and make sure the links are do-follow. This is extremely important and your post won’t be eligible to win if you haven’t fulfilled this requirement. The sponsors are the ones making the cash prizes possible, so show them some link love.
- A high value is placed on the number of and quality of comments received on your guest post. Also, be sure to interact with and respond to your commentators. This will help you win! Ambiguous and/or spammy comments will not help you.
- Spread the word about your post through all your social media channels: Twitter, Facebook, Sphinn, etc. A high value will be placed on number of Tweets and overall social media promotion.

I think it’s fair of letting the multiple guest poster to win the cash prize. I mean, what if we choose not to submit another post so that we can concentrate and focus on promoting our submitted entry?
I know all participants are doing their best in order to win. That’s why some of them are submitting more and more entry to capture reader’s eye and know what works best.
Anyway, I think bloggers who have submitted multiple entries must not treated special. Because in my case, though I only submitted 2 entries, I intend to do more marketing in order to get more connections in various social marketing technique I knew.
The concept of this contest is about marketing. How we do our effective marketing strategies and share it to other people.
