Many times throughout the day I find myself trying to motivate other members to simply click and vote for other bloggers.
I know you don’t want to vote and see your story move of the front page but trust when I say good things happen to people that do good things. Karma works in amazing ways and if you are good to the people around you it will come back and do you well in the future.
The best place to find bloggers in the most need of votes in on the upcoming page. But more specifically the following tabs on the upcoming page.
![]()
What I would like to see is our members voting on articles that have been sitting in the upcoming queue for far to long. So follow the upcoming year tab and vote for some articles. I was just there and we have a good 20 or 30 pages of articles needing one vote to be published.

Help our community grow strong by voting for each other. I see so many members simply submitting their articles and leaving. I don’t know how to stress that is not the purpose of our community. We are here to socially share with one another. We are here to vote and engage in intellectual conversations at each others blogs.
So please next time you submit an article take a look at the upcoming articles on the year tab and see if anyone can use your vote. I’m sure our members will truly appreciate this gesture and return the favor.

I never thought to take a look at the upcoming year tab. There’s so much here and it’s just so easy to get caught up on the upcoming of today pages. But, I’m accepting the challenge – get ready to publish some articles!

Yo Brian, I need your opinion about something and of course would be interested in comments from the members, it’s about Commentluv and it was a statement made by my webmaster when I asked to have commentluv enabled on my self-hosted WordPress blogs (9). It was not very flattering about it but I went ahead and enabled it anyway because of this community. Here is the comment:
“Now that I’ve seen CommentLuv in action, I can say that I don’t
like it at all, especially when combined with DoFollow. I’ve read
loads of blog posts singing the praises of CommentLuv, but I do not
believe it’s a smart plugin for the long haul. It takes the focus
away from the genuine intention to offer relevant opinions and
commentary first and foremost, and prioritizes link building. Those
aren’t the kind of commentators I want. If someone wants to include
a link in their comment to a relevant post of their own, they
already can without CommentLuv—they just include it as part of
their comment. CommentLuv allows people to add totally irrelevant
links to posts. Case in point:

What does Ilene’s post about podcasting have to do with your post?
Absolutely nothing. I was reading a SEO blog today that’s CommentLuv
enabled and the comments were full of CommentLuv spam. (The ComLuv
blog admits that they are having a lot of trouble with spammers. And
humorously, the ComLuv site itself sells spammy links on their home
page! They’ll get a penalty for that eventually.) It’s all just a
bunch of you scratch my back, I’ll scratch yours which is the same
principle behind reciprocal link exchanges. Endorsements should be
earned, not swapped. Watch for it: Google will wind up creating a
penalty for sites using CommentLuv. It’s so easy to detect in the
code. It’s just a matter of time.
Does anyone have any comments about this? When I hear stuff like this I always ask for opinions from other bloggers that are using the app, like I said, I use commentluv and I have known this person (my webmaster) for 12 years.
