Hi everyone!
Ok, perhaps the title is a bit odd and pretentious – I just like the sound of it. Just about a month ago I decided to use a blog as a kind of data backup. I had no intention to use it in an attempt to make money, communicate with people, or any of the other reasons that people seem to get involved with it.
Then Something Changed
As I started placing my information in my new blog (it was a kind of checklist at the time) I had a few questions about posting some things like code examples and happened across a site that claimed that the author (Nick) could tell you how to blog. That blog had all kinds of information about plugins, attracting traffic, etc. What he was doing sounded interesting, but I thought that I really did not have time, and besides, I don’t know anyone else who does this.
Then I found a comment there from someone named Kiesha that made me want to read her site about blogging better.
And That Was It
At least, that is, I decided to try to see if I could even write anything that anyone in the world would want to read. My current focus is on productivity and motivation. I do not know if it will stay that way – I am doing some ‘soul searching’ right now.
Well, perhaps people just have bad taste, but I have attracted a few readers & most of them appear to be intelligent, genuine, and thoughtful people who I would want to talk to any time. This really has been a great experience for me.
Not exactly an extraordinary tale, I know. But, it was the genesis of my interest in blogging. Eventually, that brought me to blogengage.
If you already blog, I am not telling you anything new. If you don’t blog, you should start – it is fun.
Have a great day!

I think what I enjoyed the most about this post is that every blogger goes through the stages you are experiencing right now. We don’t even know what we want out of blogging especially within the first few months. Deciding if we want to make money, blog quality content or even what the niche or blog should be in.
I’m happy you shared your current experience with us and our blogging friends because I bet they would like to know that it’s not only them that experiences this shift in change and direction.
Another positive note I would like to make is regarding how you found Kiesha’s blog. it just proves that people still follow comments and I think that is important to take note of.
Thanks for the guest article Mark I hope to see you back often.
