Brad, believe me man, its so easy to do it once you get the hang of it and realize what kind of article the accept. Its just that you have to get in the habit of doing it. Tell yourself your going to submit at least 1 article a day or whatever you think you can do. And you don't have to write new articles every day. If you don't have time one day, just submit articles from your blog. The reason you may have not seen traffic could be your keyword use or the timing. Sometimes ezine is just dead, but most of the time its keyword usage and specially your title. Oh boy, a good title can really attract people to click on that article title and read it. Once they are their, its your job to make a great resource box that they can not resist clicking on your links. Its the most important part of it. And you can do it very easy if you have problem with it like i had. I had no idea how to write a good resource box(about author), so i went on ezine and i looked at the top writers who are also affiliate marketers, and i just copied their work. I mean not word by word, but you get the idea.
So start doing it man. Your missing on really good highly targeted traffic plus back links and higher page rank for your blog.
Any way, best of luck.

I am unfortunately one of the 99% who started out with article marketing and did not have a clue how to use it properly. I wrote about 10 articles for ezine articles, but didn't see any traffic so I stopped. They recently sent me a nice coffee mug in the mail, so I have been thinking about giving it another shot. Thanks for these tips.

Thanks for the comment guys. I cant say enough about article marketing. Specially if you use the right article directories. Alison you should get back into article marketing. Do this- every day submit 1 or 2 article to just ezine.com, for one week. Just one week. That's about 14 articles. You don't even have to write new articles. You can use articles you already have written and are on your blog. Use your resource box (about author) to convince the readers that they have to check out your blog. You do that for a week, just 10 article will even be enough, and i guaranty you, your going to see at least 10,20 visitors a day from ezine, sometimes more sometimes less, Obviously the better your writing and your resource box is, the more people will check it out. Now from there you can do whatever. If your building a list, then have your opt-in box ready with some free reports or something. Because the traffic from ezine is highly highly targeted. So if they are on your blog, they really are looking for such information. Don't put this off. I did that for a long time. Then one day i just started submitting 1-2 articles and from then on it became so easy and almost like a habit. And believe it or not, ezine is my number one traffic resource 85% of the time. If you need more info or have questions please don't hesitate to ask. I am new myself, but we can all learn something from each other. Good luck.
