I am very happy to celebrate another top engaged on the month contest winner.

This month we have to change things up a little only because the prize no longer covers the cost of an Elegant Themes membership.

I’m still willing to pay the winner 20 USD via paypal and to be honest the last three winners took the money anyways.

Over the month of August I’m going to start looking for monthly sponsors to see if we can really get this contest going.

In order to compete in the competition you have to follow the guidelines.

  • Have a blog engage image on your blog sidebar
  • Written the content that was submitted
  • Be an active member within our community

This months winner is Onibalusi Bamidele from technshare dot com

I’m always trying to get our members to go the extra mile when it comes to earning from your blog engage story submissions.

When you sign up with blog engage you can enter your Google PUB number into your profile section. This allows you to have 50 percent of the revenues generated from all your story submission pages.

Every time you submit a story to blog engage your create your very own story page. On every story page is a Google Adsense Ad.

Right now this ad is only 50 percent yours. I want to offer you the opportunity to take home 100 percent of that ad spots income. Trust me when I tweet that story page you want it to be your ad. I get 3 dollars clicks from some of those story pages.

How to increase your revenue sharing?

1. Write an article about us telling your blogging friends. Take the time and post an article on your blog explaining what our community is about and why you suggest people to join it. Let me know about the article so I can go and tweet and engage. After I see the article I will increase your adsense earnings to 100 percent.

2. Invite your friends into the community. Send invites to all your blogging friends. If you invite three members I will increase your revenue sharing to 100 percent. Make sure to track your friends using the forums or via e-mail with me. I cannot track your members for you this is your responsibility. Once you refers three members I will increase your adsense earnings to 100 percent.

3. Guest Blog for us here on our community blog twice. If you write two unique articles here on our community blog I will I will increase your adsense earnings to 100 percent.

4. Add the blog engage profile image or badge to the TOP of your sidebar for all your blogging friends to see. When done adding the image simply contact me and I will increase your adsense earnings to 100 percent.

The offer is on the table permanently .Anyone interested in increasing their Adsense Revenue Sharing to 100 percent simply do one of the following options. e-mail me with the progress or completion and I will upgrade your account to 100 percent.

What’s the point of all this?

When I upgrade your account to 100 percent adsense revenue sharing you will always see your ads on your story page and will never be shared with me or other members. That spot will become your full time permanent add.

Track your exact blog engage earnings

Most importantly we want to have our members understanding how much money they can generate from Blog Engage so I’m also writing how to track your Blog Engage Adsense Revenue Sharing Earnings.

First you must login to you Adsense account and select the Adsense set up tab. From here select the channel tab and proceed to the websites section.

  • Select AdSense for Content
  • Select +Add new URL channels hyperlink
  • Type in the URL address for Blog Engage in the box
  • Click on Add channels button

Now you should be able to filter your Adsense earning by channel. If you go back to the main page it should look like this.

Now all the earnings you earn and page views from the Blog Engage URL will be shown in your filter. This is how you can see if you are in fact making money from Blog Engage.

If you need any help with setting this up please see the forum topic. Thanks to everyone for all your support I hope you make some money using our revenue sharing community.

I decided it was in my best interest to remove the mandatory rule for the blog engage profile badges and images.

For one it’s far to hard and time consuming for me to ensure everyone has one. In fact what I will be doing is far easier then worrying about who does or doesn’t have one.

From here on out I will only engage with other members that represent our community with a profile image or badge.

Seeing my time is limited this is my best bet to increase productivity and help members that help us in return. This way I ensure all members that have the badge get my marketing and promotional help before any members that don’t.

So in short if you have the blog engage profile image or badge it’s proof that you engage and need to be engaged to help build up traffic. Having the badge means you tweet, digg and socially interact with other blog engage member articles and the same should be done with your article.

So if you want tweets, diggs or other social networking favors be sure to add the blog engage image or profile badge. If any other members wish to follow me and only promote those who have the badge that is fine but you are free to do as you wish naturally.

Thanks to all the members who have added the profile badges and images. I really appreciate it and from here on out on a daily basis you will soon realize the benefit of adding the blog engage images.

Blog Engage has grown so much since we first started. I remember when I first launched the website. I was busy in so many forums trying to get awareness and build traffic.

I didn’t have money and started on a Godaddy economy shared hosting plan. I think it was something like 4 dollars a month lol.

Over the past two years a lot has changed. We have gone from 50 hits a day to nearly 500 on average. I have manged to build some amazing relationships with other bloggers and I thank you all for that.

At times being a website owner can be frustrating. This frustration can come out in my writing and possibly make some of my articles on the negative side. I’m sorry if this has affected your opinion of the community and hope you an look past it.

As most of you know we work hard on our websites and yes when we don’t get any feedback it gets very frustrating. I could even say I have thought about quitting this website many times.

You know what keeps me positive at the end of the day and keeps me running this website is the growth we have seen since we first started. Blog Engage has grown it’s traffic over 100 percent and is looking at even more impressive growth as we end 2010.

Another reason and probably the most important is my friends. I have meet so many bloggers from being the owner of this community it’s simply amazing. I have seen bloggers come and go within the blogosphere. They start blogging and think it’s going to be easy and a few weeks later they have left the scene.

I enjoy interacting with everyone of our members. I enjoy reading your article and hope you feel the same about our relationship. You are my friends and I hope you feel the same about me.

On that note I say thanks to you all for the support you have given me and our community members over the past two years. I look forward to the future growth of our community and meeting new bloggers.

I was doing some tweeting yesterday for some of our members here in the community and some articles I wanted to tweet but ended up passing on.

It’s hard to determine what I’m going to tweet or not tweet seeing I have so many member articles to choose from.

In today’s article I thought I would discuss the main reasons why I decide to tweet or not to tweet a members article.

Let’s face the facts this doesn’t only apply to me. I safely assume many other bloggers think the exact same way.

Way to many ads: The number one reason I don’t retweet an article is the fact that it has way to many ads. In fact I won’t even retweet an article that has an add in the wrong placement.

Pop ups: This can be in the form of ads or a newsletter. I’m not a fan of any type of pop up. In fact I have gone as far to boycott any websites or blogs that have pop ups. I’m definitely not going to send other twitter followers into a newsletter subscription pop up.

No tweetmeme button: I’m a huge fan of tweetmeme I like the set up and trust the software. I integrate it with my twitter account and enjoy the simplicity of it. If you don’t have one or something similar I most likely will not tweet your article.

Poor quality content or design: If I see it’s a short or poor quality content article I won’t even bother tweeting it. If I enjoy the bloggers and their content I will retweet it without thinking twice. If the design is nice and clean I will tweet but if it’s poorly designed or too busy looking again I will simply skip it.

The reason why I brought this up is because today I will be tweeting many of our members articles. In fact I will only be tweeting articles that have the Blog Engage profile badge or image.

What makes you decide to tweet or not tweet an article?

I know I didn’t have a top articles for Monday but to be honest it’s only because I didn’t see many articles get published.

In order to successfully present our members with a top article of the day we need our members to start voting on articles that are close to being published.

Yesterday I was looking at the upcoming page and decided to select the upcoming for the year link. I seen we had over 50 pages of articles all sitting at 9 votes. This means all they need is one vote to be published.

If you have time please take a minute, visit the upcoming page, select the year link and start voting for the articles you enjoy or like the most.
