After looking at my Google Analtyics it’s obvious our community continues to grow. At the year end I seen traffic reduced substantially. This was from both Search Engines and Direct Traffic.

As we proceeded into February the traffic started to demonstrate some sort of consistency. As March went by I seen a slow but steady increase in both Search Engine and Direct Traffic.

I’m very happy about the stats! We almost hit a quarter million page views in three months! To me this is amazing and we should all be proud of what we accomplished.

As our community continues to grow so will your personal statistics. I look forward to our second quarter results. I hope we beat what we did this quarter by a long shot.

With the new look of our front page and the increase in amount of stories displayed I do predict a decrease in over all page views but an increase in total visitor count.

Yes it’s true we have denied invitations into our community for some bloggers in the past. This happens very rarely but due to specific circumstances on occasion it has been known to take place.

What we are trying to accomplish by having minimum expectations is improve the quality of content submitted to our community. Assuming your blog has a clean design and it’s not full of duplicate content you will be welcomed and invited into our community.

We have two ways our visitors can get invitations to the main social website.

First add the blog engage badge

BlogEngage

1. Join the Blog Forums and request an invitation in the Invitations Forums.

2. You can use the Contact Us and send your e-mail and blog url for approval.

Minimum Expectations

  • Minimum of 5 articles on your blog
  • Unique content to your blog
  • Proper application
  • Clean and well organized theme design

I thought what a better way to start of the week with some personal reflection.

Sometimes we get so comfortable in the way we do things we forget to see if we are doing it to the best of our ability.

This weeks word challenge makes us take a better look at our blogs and challenges us to come up with a list of 10 things we could perhaps do better then we’re currently doing.

How do you submit your article?

Every Monday I will announce what the weekly writing challenge will be. Simply leave a reply in that specific article with your url or state your submission is in your comment luv.

Why participate?

Because all articles submitted to the challenge will be promoted on by me here on our word challenge linking directly to your word challenge post.

This also includes retweets from myself with over 1900 followers. Also other members will be joining us in conversations on your blog. This is a great way to find new readers and get comments.

Things to consider

  • Writing Style
  • Article Length
  • Blog Design
  • Marketing
  • Promotion
  • Quality of Content
  • Article Research
  • Commenting
  • Relationship Building
  • more…

We all know blogging isn’t easy so doing this writing challenge will help you determine where you are struggling with your current blog and perhaps even specific area’s you can start making improvements in.

The idea is basic. Simply write an article in order of importance the top 10 things you should improve on or change when it comes to blogging.

The article should be submitted in list format, more specifically a paragraph list format. So we want what you will be changing and more importantly why you find you should improve in that specific area.

Paragraph List Post – This type of list post requires a little more content but still consists of a a list. For every list you will have a small but brief paragraph explaining what the listed number is about.

Example:

Marketing – I don’t spend anytime marketing and I should try to improve this.  I will be joining some webmaster forums and social networks in hopes to start marketing my blog more.

If you’re reading this feel free to participate. Deadline for article submission is Friday morning. Simply leave a reply with your article submission and I will add it to Friday’s weekly writing challenge wrap up.

You all may have noticed some changes to the mian site! I have added more stories on the front page and they are now in a collapsed format as opposed to an extended version like before.

I feel this will allow our members to stay on the front page a little longer and also allows the upcoming stories a chance to be seen to the second or third page as opposed to the fifth or sixth.

One obvious draw back is with more stories comes longer load times. So far I don’t think it’s an issue and with more information on the page means the less pages you will need to load.

I spent most of the morning optimizing one of my personal blogs. I was adding half banner ads to all the story pages. I think this is a great way to increase our incomes. All we have to do is go back and edit all the older stories on our blogs.

What I do is add the ads in between the content at the top of my articles. This isn’t a big deal on the personal blog because I don’t’ market it at all it’s all 100% organic SE traffic. the point of that blog it to actually make money from my search engine traffic.

I sold an older blog of mine this weekend. I was once blogging at iknownil.com but I sold it over the weekend I just don’t have the time to develop it. It sold on digital point for 50 usd which is pretty decent seeing I paid 2.99 usd for it a year a go.

I plan on writing another article this morning for our weekly writing challenge so make sure to stick around and see what it’s going to be.

Many times throughout the day I find myself trying to motivate other members to simply click and vote for other bloggers.

I know you don’t want to vote and see your story move of the front page but trust when I say good things happen to people that do good things. Karma works in amazing ways and if you are good to the people around you it will come back and do you well in the future.

The best place to find bloggers in the most need of votes in on the upcoming page. But more specifically the following tabs on the upcoming page.

What I would like to see is our members voting on articles that have been sitting in the upcoming queue for far to long. So follow the upcoming year tab and vote for some articles. I was just there and we have a good 20 or 30 pages of articles needing one vote to be published.

Help our community grow strong by voting for each other. I see so many members simply submitting their articles and leaving. I don’t know how to stress that is not the purpose of our community. We are here to socially share with one another. We are here to vote and engage in intellectual conversations at each others blogs.

So please next time you submit an article take a look at the upcoming articles on the year tab and see if anyone can use your vote. I’m sure our members will truly appreciate this gesture and return the favor.

Hello thanks for stopping by to read up on the results of our weekly writing challenge.

I would like to take a minute and bring our members up to date on some of the changes I have made. As you can see our challenge is no longer named the weekly word challenge.

I decided to name it a the weekly writing challenge which allows us to open up into other challenges that aren’t so specific to a word.

Last weeks writing challenge was list posts and round ups.  List posts are by far the most popular type of blogging styles. A list post is a post that requires you to have some sort of list within the article.

A round up post will bring together all of ones activities or actions over a specific periods of time onto one article. This can be an article regarding what you accomplished throughout the week on your blog, in life or in your career. This can also be a round  up of information leading to a conclusion or strong opinion of a specific topic or subject.

Please join me in tweeting, digging, stumbling and engaging the following weekly word challenge articles. These articles were written by our members specifically for this challenge.

How do you submit your article?

Every Monday I will announce what the weekly writing challenge will be. Simply leave a reply in that specific article with your url or state your submission is in your comment luv.

Why participate

Because all articles submitted to the challenge will be promoted on by me here on our word challenge linking directly to your word challenge post.

This also includes retweets from myself with over 1900 followers. Also other members will be joining us in conversations on your blog. This is a great way to find new readers and get comments.

I always enjoy writing these article because if there’s anyone that knows how to benefit the most from blog engage… well it’s me.

Like anything else in life you get out what you put into anything. If you work hard and consistently you will achieve great success but if you are a slacker and don’t give it your everything you will not get far in life.

Like life blog engage requires your hard work, dedication and commitment. The more you put into the community involvement the more you will get out of it.

I know many tricks and techniques to take advantage of our blogging community but so far I have three that have worked the best.

Remember Blog engage is a community filled with bloggers and like you they are all looking for exposure to their blogs and they are also looking for votes.

The Top Three Ways to Market Using Blog Engage

1. Build relationships by adding other bloggers to your friends list. Send them a status update, introduce yourself and make friends. Interacting with other bloggers is key to successfully marketing with blog engage.

2. Comment on their articles. Read their content and create relevant and intellectual conversations with them. Show you are truly interested and also comment on their article submissions. Help them get noticed here in the community and on their blog.

3. Vote for each other articles. Leave a comment on the article submission saying you voted and share your opinion. Building conversation on  another bloggers article will help them get noticed and gain more votes. This will also make the blogger notice your attempt to help or create that friendship.

I also wrote an article on my personal blog named, Using Blog Engage to Market and Promote
