If John chow can do it… so can you! I thought that would be a great way to open the topic. lol to anyone who gets it. Well on with the show. John Chow sells his tweets and makes money from doing so. John states clearly he sold a sponsored tweet for 1000 dollars. A commenter later stated, “Nice to see that your 140 characters are giving you that much money. That means of value of one character is $71.43″.
Let’s face it if there’s one thing we have learned is everything online for the right price is for sale. John’s not the only one selling tweets. An entire online social marketing industry is being created from this simple idea. Billions of dollars are being spent and thousands are creating revenues.
Personally I’m not into selling my tweets. I think it’s wrong and I really don’t have the right amount of followers to be doing such a thing. If I had 50,000 followers and someone asked me to tweet something for 1000 dollars I would do it without thinning twice.
The questions remains… Would you sell your tweets if asked? Have you considered it another possible way to generate more online revenues? Let’s hear some feedback let me know your thoughts.

Last week I announced I wanted to start doing a weekly word challenge. You can read up on the article here, weekly word challenge. Perhaps I made a mistake by adding so many similar words so next weeks challenge will consists of different subjects and categories. None the less the voting is over and our weekly word will be, Marketing and Promotion. The poll was actually a tie with 4 votes. 2 for Marketing and 2 for Promotion.
The challenge
I challenge all the members here in our community to write an article about or regaridng the weekly word which is Marketing and Promotion. The article doesn’t have to be of any special length simply write about the topics and submit your article to the blogengage site. I also ask that you post a comment including the website url to where your article has been published.
Why participate
Because all article submitted to the challenge will be promoted on by me here on our social linking directly to your word challenge post. This also includes retweets from myself with over 1700 followers.
You have until December 4th 2009 to submit your article. After that date we will be working on the new weekly word challenge.

Many people start blogging for one reason and one reason only and it’s to make money. What we have to realize is there’s nothing wrong with that but don’t expect it to be easy. When you start blogging you have many things to keep in mind when trying to generate profits.
Design – Your blog has to have a clean, unique and active look to it. Make sure you have a nice subscribe feature available for you members and the navigation throughout the entire website is as easy as it can be.
Content – Try to help your readers every time you write an article. Create quality content for them to read and make sure you always provide examples on how to reach your desired goals. Consistently create quality content and overtime you will see the increase in your readership levels.
Relationships – building your online name isn’t easy. People aren’t simply going to trust what you write about. You have to prove your content is real truthful and insightful. Create relationships with your readers and build up the trust factor.
Traffic – Generating online incomes from your blog will not happen if you don’t have the traffic. The mian reason John Chow and Darren Rowse have made money from their blogs because they have a lot of web traffic. Work on creating social profiles and releasing quality content daily.
E-mail Subscriptions – Make sure to offer your blog readers a way to subscribe to your articles. If no one knows your writing you cannot expect to increase that traffic. If you haven’t subscribed to my blog please do so. I’m always blogging about new and interesting things on how to improve your blog.
Don’t give up – Sometimes it may seem easier to simply give up. But if your dedicated at making money with your blog this is not an option. We have to work hard and stay positive. Trust me no one makes tons of money from the start you have to work towards earning your money.
