I have to write today and thank all our members for supporting Blog Engage! I’m so surprised from the positive response we got. Mostly all our active members added the blog engage image and some even added the bookmark to their sites.
I feel all warm and fuzzy inside and don’t know how to thank you enough.
I got a few complaints over the past week regarding the limit on submissions. For this reason I have upped the limit to three articles per day.
How does the limit work?
The limit is based off of quality of content and how active you are as a member. If you sign up, submit and leave you will never get past the 3 submissions a day limit. You have to Submit, Vote and Comment.

The Blog Engage Bookmark button can also be found on the top of that page.
We have 4 different buttons you can use! For the word press plugin users simply find the below code in your wp-blogengage.php (downloaded plugin) and change button.php with, button2.php, button3.php, or button4.php There are 2 places this button.php will need to be changed! (wordpress plugin)
To use a different looking button on a single.php page simply change in the below code button.php to any of the following, button2.php, button3.php, button4.php Pick whatever image you like best. If you need help please just start a topic requesting help inside of blog forum.

Ok I’m so excited to talk with you guys I decided it would be best to write a blog article on our guest blog instead of sending another mass e-mail. I’m assuming the majority of you will appreciate this,
As you can tell (on the main site) for loading and speed reasons I have removed all the Neverblue ads and Google ads. I hope you appreciate this because now I pay for the website out of my own pocket.
I also made a few changes so if your visiting the site I would suggest clearing your cookies and making sure you’re getting the most updated view possible. It was funny I woke up this morning and got the following message at twitter,
I’m looking at getting another custom template created for the Gust Blog. Seeing this template is no longer used on the main site it would be beneficial to make the blog once again look like the main site template.
During the week promotions
To make the website come alive some what I have decided to automatically publish all submissions that follow any of these suggestions.
1. Add the blog engage image to your blog.
2. Add an avatar and personalize your profile here on blog engage.
During the week I will publish all these submissions and then when Friday comes I will take all of the top voted blogs on the week and re publish them to the front page!
This is going to make Friday, (today) pretty exciting.

So as most of you have noticed I’ve been busting my ass trying to upgrade to the newest version of pligg software. Unfortunately the software was not meeting my expectations and I decided to revert back to the original installed version.
Overall the update went smooth but the issues were with specific sections regarding functionality that a normal member wouldn’t notice. I’m here daily and seen stories showing up when logged out and not showing up when logged in etc…
No this is not the end of man kind but for now it’s the end of upgrading to pliggs newest release.
Due to differences in opinion I cannot get support from the pligg community and with that said I’m assuming they haven’t even noticed these issues yet haha! I’m guessing I’m better off without their help anyways.
So as for now we are back to normal operations and will continue to update our status here on the blog.
